Young Hollywood, what is going on? We're here at Comic-Con. I'm just hugging the poster for Future Man. We're gonna talk with Seth Rogen and find out what is going on in the Future Man. Your shirt is tattered. Tony Morris This is pushing the limit. This is pushing the limits. It's pushing the limits. I'm telling you, you took it too far. I'm just gonna tell you. I heard you guys are pushing the limits with this show. I heard you guys are taking this to another level. Higher stakes. Yeah. Talk to me about that.
I mean, we wanted to do a comedy that really had like a plot to it, you know, and that has like life and death stakes to it. Kind of like what we've done in a lot of our movies since Pineapple Express. That was the first one where we really tried to mix comedy with life and death stakes. And we've done it in almost every movie we've made since then. Uh, me and Evan as writers and directors and Kyle Hunter worked on who created this show, worked on a lot of those movies with us. And so, uh, yeah, the idea of a comedy, you know, that life and death that's that has huge stakes and a plot and a real like cliff-hanging cliff-hanger episode.
Are you treating Josh all right on set? I saw the behind the scenes, look like you were you were mistreating our friend Josh Hutcherson.
Yeah. I blew his hand off.
Blew his hand off. Hand, hand, hand. His hand off. Okay, so the show is about time travel. Yeah. If you could travel back in time, where would you travel back in time, Seth? That's a good question. What do you think?
Um, I would probably want to go to like before people existed. I'd probably want to go like the pre-Cambrian.
Garden of Eden. Yes. Pre-Cambrian. 6,000 years ago to the Garden of Eden, right?
Dinosaurs. I want to go see dinosaurs. See how this was all made.
We saved your life in the rain. Remember that?
No.
It was at South by Southwest. What happened? It was raining and We were gonna do an interview with you out in the rain. Yes, but we didn't. I saved your life.
Congratulations. You're one of many.
