Stan Lee: The Man, the Legend, the Cameo King

Why don't they have an award for the best cameo of the year? Because you would win for Spider-Man for your upcoming cameo.

What's up guys? Nikki Novak here for Young Hollywood at Comic-Con with the King of Comic-Con, Mr. Stan Lee.

Well, how nice of you to say that. And my superhero. Oh, that's even nicer. So, being here, I saw on your on your new YouTube channel, Stan's Rants.

And you said you cannot stand that everybody wants to have their picture taken with you. How many pictures have you had to take so far?

No, I it's not that I can't stand it. It's just how things have changed. Years ago, people would ask for your autograph and you'd stop and do it. I have a short name, so I can do it in a second and that was no big deal. Now, somebody will say, can I have your autograph? So I'll stop and do it. But before walking away, the person says, oh, can I take a picture of you? So, I say okay, but then they have to adjust their telephone camera that everybody carries. And then they look around, oh, would you hold this camera and take a picture of us? So I have to stand like this and we pose for the picture. And then they, no, no, you push that other button and you have to hold it from it. So before you know it, two or three minutes have gone by where it used to be 10 seconds. So it's so hard to walk through a crowd, you can't ignore people and when you try to do all of that, you never get where you're going.

That's so true. Well, now that we have all this technology, now you're on YouTube. You have the World of Heroes on YouTube. Are do you watch YouTube? Do you watch any channels?

Well, I certainly am going to watch the World of Heroes, that's for sure. It's so exciting. It's like having, it's like somebody having given me a cable channel and said, hey, this is yours, do whatever you want with it, you know? So, oh, am I having fun?

You are, well you have cocktails with Stan. That's a funny show.

It's an interview show. We serve real liquor. So, somebody will get a drink, I'll get a drink, and the interview starts out very seriously. By the end of the thing, we're looped and anything could happen.

Where's the cocktails for us at Young Hollywood? I think we need to. What is your cocktail of choice?

Well, mine is a screwdriver. But I have only half a shot of vodka. So there's more orange juice. So I can somehow get it through the half hour of the interview.

Okay, so talking about drink, let's talk about food for a second. If you were to go to like Subway sub, what's the name of Stan's sandwich and what's on it? Subway sandwich. What's on it and what's it called?

I like the Italian one with all kinds of goo, you know, oil and stuff and I love Italian stuff.

Well, I think could it should be called the Superhero Stan special. The Stan special, I like that. I you must have so much influence because you're with Young Hollywood. Would you Oh, I have something else for you to use your influence about. Okay. Why doesn't the Hollywood, the Academy, why don't they have an award for the best cameo of the year?

Because you would win for Spider-Man for your upcoming cameo. I have no competition. I do more than anybody.

So I want you to use your influence and the billions of people who watch your interview and muster them together and get them to rise up in one solid rank.

That would be my superpower is to use my influence.

Exactly. So how was it because a little bird told me that you really love acting and wanted to be an actor.

I am the biggest ham you will ever know. In fact, I'm thinking to myself, oh god, before I know it, this interview will have to end. How can I keep it going a little longer? Excelsior!
