Nikki Novac here for Young Hollywood with Rob Paulson and Greg Cypes. Great to see you guys. It's so great to talk to you. You guys don't realize what happens before we start rolling here at Young Hollywood. Greg just about took down the whole set. What's up with that?

Guest

Well, you know, I rushed here from the hotel. I just got out of the shower. I still have my Ninja Turtle towel on, drying off my hair and I was just trying to dry the product. I'm not going to do it again, but I sat right here, you know, drying off my feet and this chair back. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. He did it again.

Young Hollywood

I am here with Sean Aston. We were just talking with your co-stars. They're pretty rowdy.

Sean Astin

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Greg just about took down the set.

Sean Astin

Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Do you ever do that when you're in the sound booth? Do you do that when you act it out? I want your job.

Sean Astin

No, you guys shoot together a lot, which I I've learned, which is kind of unusual for animation and for like doing voice work. Sometimes they have you guys off in a booth by yourselves. It's like it's a big party.

Young Hollywood

Oh. Well, everywhere Greg is is a party. Tell us how much he is like his character.

Sean Astin

Oh my god. That's totally perfect. We get tattoos. I want to get one of my face on my face. It'll be like I'm wearing a mask and the mask is me.

Young Hollywood

Are you Have you been a Turtle fan your whole life?

Sean Astin

My entire life. And you and you said that you played in the original. It was not Was it 1980?

Guest

87 is when we started recording them and they started airing, I think, in 89.

Sean Astin

Well, I've been stalking them since I was eight years old. I'm like, yeah, I want to be a Turtle. I want to be a Turtle. I want to be a Turtle for the past 20 years. That's a little disconcerting when a young guy goes after you like that. And now I'm a Turtle.

Young Hollywood

You brought you brought your family to Comic Con. Okay.

Sean Astin

I have three daughters. And two years ago, if you would have when I asked

Young Hollywood

Good luck. Good luck when they're in their teens, dad.

Sean Astin

15 and a half is the first one.

Young Hollywood

Oh my gosh. So she's already there. You don't look old enough to have a 16-year-old.

Sean Astin

Two years ago, I invited him to Comic Con. He would have thought I was saying I want to set you on fire because they were like, no, we don't want to go to Comic. Oh, dad, why would you even think we right?

Young Hollywood

That's a good impression. That was a really good. You can voice that. There you go.

Sean Astin

Now, my daughter said, Dad, I got online. This is just an hour ago. She said, Dad, I got online to see what Turtle costumes there were. And, you know, for cons. She said, and what came up was these bikini girls with a show. It's like, yeah, you're not wearing that.

Young Hollywood

Oh, look at this. You know how to use the trucks? He knows how to use the trucks in real life. I don't doubt it for a second. How's that for audio? I have the the Shirakins. Yeah. You asked me, can you throw that? I was like, well, Shirakin. Yeah. Throw it. Oh, I can Okay. You're such a badass. So like your character.

Sean Astin

I'm a badass.

Young Hollywood

So you do it but you do have the do you feel like you have the best job in Hollywood?

Sean Astin

I do have the best job in Hollywood. Now right now I'm about to talk about the best job in Hollywood. Oh, look at that. Oh my god. That girl just took it to a whole other level. How beautiful is she? Look at even the cameraman's gone. Dude, I can't handle this. Okay, no.

Young Hollywood

Do you have a vocal warm-up? That's a good question.

Sean Astin

Cuz I used to in the car on the way, sing songs or go through the, you know. Okay. Now let's say I love Do you know that whole thing? I just think it was so dumb. But it really does kind of loosen you up. And you notice when you're first starting, you'll end up kind of mixing your words up. Kind of keep my. Oh, sorry. Now hold on. I'm ready. Okay.

Young Hollywood

Can you teach me? How would I How would I like do something with my voice to like because my voice is, let's face it, kind of kind of boring.

Sean Astin

I'm going to show you.

Guest

He'll show you.

Sean Astin

Now do what I do, okay? Boo. Boo. Yeah. Cuz. Yeah. No, no, no. It's not like West Side. This I was doing the sigh. The sigh is a weapon. It's a three-pronged Okay. fork weapon. It's right here. What's up? Show them. Can you see it? Oh, there they are. There's the sigh. But if I wanted to do it like this, it would look like that. See, look what it would look like if I actually did the sigh behind the Cuz look, if you on either side are shorter. But if you come at me with a knife or like a sword. You're done. You got you.

Young Hollywood

Well, I I feel very protected all of a sudden with my fellow turtles. I am surrounded by ninjas. I want your job. Can we do what you normally do? Let's go out on that. Okay. All right. So it's a fight sequence, right? And they're coming at us the Crang are coming at us and what are we doing? We're fighting. We can we go out for the yoga pose? Will you do a yoga pose? Oh, go ahead. Is that

Guest

Rub your hands together to hurt center. Looking at the sun or whatever it's called. I'm not cross-legged. Hoo. Big breath in through your nose. Pull something. Hold it. Feel the bliss and the the gratitude that's just from your body. Draw it in. Mikey, come on. Yeah. I'm going to go play with some toys. And I mean nothing more needs to be said. Thanks. Know that you're in the best place ever Comic Con 2013, Young Hollywood. That's what's up. TMNT. That's yoga. The unified vibration. Increase in the positive situation. Yeah.

Young Hollywood
