Are we going to fight over who's going to be Batman?
Can we show the young Hollywood?
We need to show them what we got.
I've got a cape too.
Great minds think alike, Jack. The last time
Yes.
Is it the same?
I think mine's better. I can't see my own cape. So, the last time I saw you was at South by Southwest, we swung in a hammock and you wiggled your ears for young Hollywood. Did he, as a boss, did he teach you how to wiggle your ears on set? He's the executive producer, he needs to teach you these.
He didn't mention it. No. He didn't. We had no idea, actually. The hardest one of all, even harder than the eyebrows, is the ear wiggle. Which, I don't, I still don't really have, but if you go close up on my ear, check it.
He did it! I'm very proud of that one. That's the hardest one. So you have called this show, you said it's like a, when you read the script, it's like a golden nugget, and you said you called it fresh. How is it a fresh take on ghost procedural or ghost stories we've seen in the past?
Well, I haven't seen any comedy, uh, uh, ghost procedurals, as you say. Uh, in this, uh, in this specific form, but the thing that makes it fresh is just, uh, these, these two incredible actors, you know. They, they're working a an improvisational style that is, uh, just groundbreaking. There's no other way to describe it. I'm, I feel a little embarrassed fawning over them when they're right behind me. Right behind your shoulder, behind your cape. But, uh, you got to see it to know what. It's kind of like wiggling your ears. You can't just say, "Hey, wiggle your ears." You actually have to experience it to, to know what I'm talking about.
And with Val Kilmer and Dave Grohl making appearances, are these like, is it a rock and roll ghost show or is this one episode? Or, what are rock and roll ghosts like?
Rock and roll in the sense that we break all the rules. Yeah, baby. We're crazy like that.
How far are you going with that?
That's it. Um, we just say it. We just say it. We have nothing to back it up with.
This is a game, one of the worst I've ever seen. No, it's a goat. Oh, it's a ghost. Oh, okay. I know it's a, I know it's a ghost. Oh, my God! Having a ghost encounter's on your bucket list, and you believe Comic-Con is haunted. Who do you hope to see haunt you here at Comic-Con?
Uh, it would be rad if I saw Jimi Hendrix, uh, rocking out some licks.
Will you guys break out costumes while you're here and match Mr. Jack Black? Second guest: Um, I, I brought a few clothes that could be for Caesar's costumes, but I call them nighties. Third guest: She just wants to change into her bathing suit. I'm dying to get in a pool.
And the last time you were here was for King Kong in 2005. Is that correct?
That was a long time ago. Yeah, it's true.
How have you evolved? How have you changed? How have you grown since then?
Well, that time I came and I wasn't able to really enjoy the Comic-Con because I, I was being accosted for photos and, and whatnot. And this time I came prepared with my Nacho Libre mask. That's my plan, and that's how I've evolved. I've learned how to, uh, hide.
So what? You're going to walk around with a mask and people are going to say, "You look just like Jack Black." They're going to be like, "Hey, look, it's Nacho." It's not really Jack Black. He wouldn't wear a Nacho mask.
That's my plan. The way you know the difference between Jack Black and imposters, ask him to wiggle his ear. If he can't do it, it's an imposter.
There you go. Good point. Yes. The question is, how fantastic was it working with this crowd? Second guest: Absolutely incredible. I mean, these two girls are, uh, the reason why I got involved, just because they have Third guest: Well, we took it to Jack. We made it, we made it, and then we knew exactly where to take it. Of course, there's only one place to take it was, was to Jack.
This is my favorite part of your. Can you hold out your arm again? This is my favorite part of your costume. Look, and has
Yes. This thing, that's a weapon there. That'll slice and dice you. But on the inside, it's just a protective sheath. And you see the pipes that are coming out of there, the whole floaties.
Yeah, and you. Is your nightie and go in the pool with the floaties? Third guest: Everyone has their bathing suit. I'm wearing mine under my dress. Second guest: Should we go? We should all wear nighties. It would really help, uh, promote the the series, I think.
All right, thank you.
