I think uh, the usual, don't drink, don't smoke, try to keep your face out of the sun, kinda kinda deal. Yeah. You know, the usual.

How long are you here for?

They are a little loud. But like really, like just actually loud. So if you hear that during the interview. It's a way to like make an awkward moment really awkward. Yeah, just the way to make an awkward moment even more awkward. So this show, this is like Amazon and a lot of, you know, different, you know, media, you know, outlets are starting to do TV. And it's so fascinating, you know. We won't name any other ones right now, but

How is it sort of, you know, like a fresh take for you working on like something like this?

You know, I think that uh, the main way that it differs from other outlets, let's call it, let's call it is the uh, the Amazon home that we have. I don't think I've ever been a part of something that got so much support and freedom. And our show in particular is pretty To say edgy, I don't even wanna say edgy cause it's been used so much but it does push the envelope a lot. And it deals with subjects that are not not necessarily easy to digest. Yeah. I mean we we have the word God in our title. Yeah. So to have a home like Amazon completely be supportive and give us the stage to do everything we need and just say, no, no, no, more, more. We like it, more. This is exactly what we're looking for. I think that is where it differs from every other, um, mainly creatively. And then, you know, obviously the fact that it's online and and the binge aspect. But yeah, to be a part

You know, they have and they have good content. So like we're coming

Yeah.

on the tail end of of, you know, Transparent blowout because it was such a good show. And to be in that company, it's just, you know. I should point out like that you guys actually shot the pilot, you put it up,

Yeah.

kinda like people can rate things on Amazon. They rate the show.

Mm-hmm.

And they can comment, and just like you're talking about a refrigerator that you bought or whatever you bought, and and the response to Hand of God was off the charts.

It was I think in the first 30 days that it was out, we had over 4,000 comments and I mean it was I don't know how many people watched cause I I know a bunch of people who didn't comment, who just liked it and watched it. Uh, but it's I don't wanna say that it's a product just like everything else. But with the saturation that's out there, it is a little bit like a product. Right. A little bit. So to have the ability to comment directly and you know that the people on the other end are reading it, is when when else do you get to do that? I mean, people do that on blogs and stuff, but you don't know for a fact that the the people who are providing you with this are seeing it. This you know.

What's the best comment you've read?

I don't that somebody said it was the best thing since Breaking Bad and since Breaking Bad is one of my favorite shows. I was just like, That's fantastic. Okay. Well, copy, paste, like take a little screenshot and just save that. That was one of the best. We have the wonderful Ron Perlman at the helm. His character, the big question is, is he insane or is he inspired? And I wanted to ask you, in your career, most insane moment you had on set, and the moment you felt most inspired. Let's start with inspired.

Okay.

Because I don't wanna sound too cheesy, but on this show, it was very hard not to be inspired. Our cast, I mean, we're we're very close. Yeah. And we're I I've not been on a set where this I mean, with the exception of maybe of Supernatural, who are actually two very good friends. But we're so we we we're very close. So and we're all different in the sensibilities that we bring, and our characters are each very very specific and go through a very specific journey. And even the guest starts, you know, we have somebody Hunter Parrish who worked with me very closely, he's magnificent. So the inspiration is never ending. And I think that every time you go on a set, you get inspired. And you have to it's not difficult to find inspiration with creative people around you, I think. True. Um, but I find inspiration in other other areas. I I I I love the sanctuary called Wildlife Learning Center. I find inspiration in the animals or in the people working with the animals. That's kinda the inspiration that I also find you bring into your work, bring into your, you know, everyday life. That's really life. Yeah. Things that are grounding. The most crazy. On Supernatural, they like to prank each other a lot. And there was a uh the crew was pranking the two guys because they were pranking everybody. So they finally got them back and that was crazy. Crazy fun.

What happened?

They got them, they set up a whole shot as if it was really gonna be a shot, and it wasn't. Them coming up this like pier with like hole, I don't know, and they opened the the top of it to shoot and then they dropped, I think it was either water or some sort of substance on them and they filmed it. And it was but it was a planning of like a week to do this.

I love it. And people get hardcore about their pranks on show, I feel like. If there's shows that people prank on, that people get vindictive on shows. There's a lot of times. Does it make you afraid to go into your trailer? You're kinda like, when is it gonna happen?

I'm waiting for somebody to put like poop in my trailer and like leave it there. Not no, thank thankfully. I I haven't upset anybody or pranked anybody that well, yet.

So because this show is Hand of God and there's a religious aspect to it, I wanted to ask you about who you worship in Hollywood. Who do you think I was gonna say? I mean, she was like segoing from poop. No. Let's talk about God. Um, yeah. So you're So I wanted to ask you about your, you know, who you worship in Hollywood. So, um, comedic comedic wise, comedic actor actress.

Worship? I don't I don't worship, but I admire and adore. There's a few, quite a few. I one of my favorite, um, comedy specials uh, was Dana Carvey. And I think I've watched that on repeat cause he's so witty and so smart. I kinda know it a little bit by heart. The the hour long special.

Really? Are you the lemon?

No. Are you the lemon? I don't know if you've seen that, but it was really good. And the church lady. Oh my God, I love that. Oh, come on, friend. Sorry. I I just came from the other uh, venue or the the the main Comic Con uh, thing. And Jennifer Lawrence was there. And I absolutely adore her. Total girl fan. I've and I've said this actually on my Twitter that I think we should be best friends and I'm trying not to be creepy about it. And this has been going on for a few years now.

Really? Yeah. For me. Yeah. Like it hasn't subsided. Was that the first time you've seen her?

I have I seen No, I haven't even seen her in person. She was just there on television. They were doing They were They were showing the her panel and I was standing there looking at it, going, Oh, you just want to she didn't I didn't crash the panel. No. I should have. I didn't know what was happening. I was listen, I I'm not very well informed when it comes to these things. I should be a better stalker, but I'm not.

And how about a director?

Uh, I got to work with him.

Oh. Who was that?

Mark Forster. He's pretty fantabulous. Yeah. And uh, and I said fantabulous. And uh, he is, though. I mean, he's, you know, And it got better after I worked with him.

Right. Before we started rolling, I thought it was really cute that you knew who my costume was cause I didn't even know. I kinda had to look it up. I just thought it looked cute. And then you said that that's Is that how you learned English? Or is that?

Cartoons. Okay. In general.

Cause you're from Israel.

Cause I'm from Israel. You don't know. Most people don't know. Shalom, shalom. And so when I was a baby, I used to watch a lot of cartoons. One of the things was the Looney Tunes, you know, Bugs Bunny and him. I still have little hiccups with the language as you can see.

Really? Oh, yeah.

Little brain farts where I forget something or I say something wrong.

Who said that? What? Excuse me. Sorry. Of course, my interview will go to potty humor. Of course.

No, I'm No, I mean, if I'm around it, it definitely will. No, this is this is par for the course for me. No, 100%. My friends will not be surprised this happened. I'm a very classy lady.

Um, anything that you want people to know about the show who haven't checked it out yet. Don't be alarmed by the title. Um, it is a very dark, yet like there's spurts of humor. And it really shows the subject matter or the people in a very non um, in a very objective way. It gives the audience or the viewer the opportunity to decide for themselves most everything that we show them. We don't like to be definitive one way or another with with the questions that we raise. So, if you if you like thought provoking material, for uh, going through an experience that is gut wrenching and exciting at the same time, I would uh, I would encourage you to watch it.
