The film Book of Life, there is a bet in the film. How about a little wager? I bet that Maria will marry Joaquin. Very well. By the ancient rules. The wager is set. Have you ever lost a bet, won a bet? Are you generally good at that?

Well, the person I'm betting with is kind of like my counterpart. We're so formidable toward one another that you neither of us can ever afford to rest on our laurels. Got it. Because she's she's one half of the bet. Maybe even more than half. Hold on. And I've won half of the bet.

This sounds like a fantastic recipe for giving people marital advice in life.

Among other things, that's what Book of Life is. Watch this movie. You'll save so much money on on couple therapy.

Okay, so it's like $11 will save your marriage.

If it's number of the price. Or $14, who knows.

Is that what it is? Depending on where you live. You haven't gone to a movie in a while. Why can't you go to screenings? I don't pay for them.

There's also a bet in the movie. Have you ever lost a bet? Guillermo de: Many times. Okay. Many times. Most of the time I was dieting. Oh my goodness. Cards are my loss.

Who's the best thing I've heard at Comic-Con. In the film, there's fighting over a girl. Ah, look there. Two best friends. Oh, in love with the same girl. You two are acting like fools. Wait, me too? You picked yourself a feisty one, huh? Did you ever fight over a girl in your life? Guillermo de: Oh, yeah. Of course I did.

Did it come to blows? Did you fight? Did you fist fight? Guillermo de: I I had two times. One time, a guy showed me a gun. He didn't use it. The second time I went to look for the guy, uh who was my best friend at the time. And I went and I said, come on, let's go. You want to out outside on the street. He didn't get up. But I was ready. I'm Mexican. What do you want?

Have you ever fought over a girl in your life? Really?

Oh, yeah.

Did it come to blows? Like fist fighting?

Uh, I really I can't say. Because, you know, I'm I'm already wanted in another state.

I don't know if anybody would actually mess with you. I can't imagine that would happen.

Um, a a well-armed gendarme would, yes. That's about the only person that might do it.

In the book of your life, if we were writing your life story, the book of

I just did.

You did?

It's coming out September 30th. It's called Easy Street, the Hard Way. It's my memoir. Can you give us My book of life. Can you give us a a little one great great little memory from your life that you're that you're sharing in this book?

There are stories about my good fortune about working with Marlon Brando, about spending time with Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. , Sean Connery. Um, those are the obvious things. But there's an awful lot of um little nuanced things that I had a lot of fun remembering and putting down on paper and articulating.

Working with that kind of caliber?

Mm. I always think you learn by doing. And you learn by being on set. You learn a lot by doing, but when you're around guys like that, you also learn a lot just by watching. Keeping your mouth shut and looking at what they're doing. And in a movie, when you watch Sean Connery do a take 12 times, you know that performance he's giving is not random. It's not an accident. It's something that is well crafted and and brilliant and and he's making it it's like he's a magician because he's making it look like it's coming out of him for the first time.
