So, first of all, being you guys were down here both down here. Were you down here last year for Godzilla?
Yeah, we both were.
It was fun.
Is it, do you guys get to have fun here or is it sort of like you go from press room to press room, interview to interview and then you're sort of out?
Well, I'm terrified of crowds. So my
I too.
So is just like being at Hall H. That was awesome and I'm really excited to do it again, but I don't I don't think crowds of people and everyone needing badges and names on list is fun. So I just kind of removed myself.
I think it's just enthusiast, isn't it? Like and I think uh you can't really go wrong when you come to Comic-Con and it's you're shown, you know, you're with the whole cast of Avengers too, you know, so
It's kind of a good part, wouldn't you say? dragging on the end like. We're here as well. We're the moochers. How does that feel for you guys? I mean, I know there was like little cameos before. Like they're following that. Yeah. Does that what it feels like for you guys? Hey Robert. Bye. I guess no matter, no matter what level you're at, it's still Like you don't even know them. You're like, hey, can we do a selfie? Um but really, what I mean sort of joining, joining the cast and sort of being a part of it, just sort of
It's surreal, it's overwhelming. At first daunting.
Daunting. But then it's also like it's flattering as well.
No, I think I I think it's amazing. Yeah, everyone's been with their, you know, welcoming arms, I think, you know. It's been really cool. It's a great group and I it's really lucky to be with this cast. It's so cool. And these films are so much fun. There's actually rooted stories and characters and humor and It's awesome.
Yeah, I'm excited for it, man. Yeah. You know I'm not excited like a fan. I yeah, I'm in it, but like you kind of just go You kind of push that aside because it's it's so epic and like I can't wait to see how it comes together.
Okay, so let's talk superpowers. Scarlet Witch, is it I mean, telekinesis, some some some magical abilities?
I I can I can get inside someone's head and I can also um manipulate objects and energy.
And you're just darn fast. You're quick.
A lot of speed. Faster than the speed of sound.
Are you fast? In real life? What? Fast? You know you are. Can you run?
He is cuz he has to run a lot. And not only that, but he stops really cool every time he stops.
I think I've perfected the skid a bit.
The skid. He skids all over the place. It doesn't matter what the ground is. He's sliding and looks so cool. It's like I did that when I was a kid playground.
Can you demonstrate on a white carpet?
No. No. I would tumble and then get a carpet burn or something. And it would be embarrassing.
Did they give you stunt training for like skid training or like do they just try to punch or what happened?
Amazingly. I thought there'd be like months of training of stunts, but you know what? It's very much like, right, there's going to be like five sequence like here. We'll pop that. Yeah. We need you to do like eight beats of moves here. And then they kind of just expect you to go, really. And then you have like your stunt double who you'd kind of who I I guess I just refer to as like I'm going okay, have you worked something out because they want me to do this this and this and it goes, well, they haven't really told us the angle, but now that they've got one and then we they just we just make it up really on the spot.
And I get to work with a dancer cuz I don't I'm not like a combat person and that was with the dancer choreographer who's awesome.
Dance lessons. That's great.
Well, yeah, but I'm not quite dancing. My mom asked me if I was going to get to do Fosse. You're not twerking in this. No, my mom just doesn't really understand most movies and so when I told her I might be working with a dancer, she said, "Well, Lizzy, you're so good at Fosse." Fosse. As if I would just go around being like And that's how I'd like blow people up.
Um, I read something about the film that when they actually shoot a lot of your scenes, because you travel so fast, they're sort of going to show it from your perspective how time sort of really slows down. In what occasion does time fly for you in life? In what occasion does time just go so slowly?
Well, panic attacks make it go really slowly.
She is, you're a quick today, man. I got to need another coffee. I didn't sleep because of the London change. That was quick. I'm I'm very much just a person that's about an hour later going. Oh, said that. Okay, I know I'm sure everybody's going to draw the comparison that you played husband and wife in Godzilla, brother and sister. But just sort of how do you get into the brother sister? You already knew each other, so there's already that report, but sort of getting into that mental.
That's all it is. It's nice if you're going to be like bouncing off each other and being playful as brother and sister and like you know each other well. You want to know each other.
Yeah. It's just that. It's just.
No, but you could still fight like siblings too. Quicksilver is awesome. He gets all the good little one-liners. It's yeah, he's very it's very like very funny, very brotherly and it's it's super funny and sometimes I want to laugh when he says something and I'm supposed to be like tough sister back, but he's just being so funny.
Um, and last but not least because this is an action kind of movie, sort of eating fresh getting in shape for the role, if you had to do anything.
Um, you just kind of do it because it's part of your job. No, I think my thing was a just a lot of running and things like that in the sense yeah, I had to sort of trim that.
What? You're laughing.
Aaron was too strong looking when we started the film, so Joss made him lose muscle.
Yeah, well, I'm coming off the back of Godzilla. I guess I was a bit of a different size, but Um. He's like, you need to look less heroic. The less you kind of have sort of prepared and you're like, you know, it's not Like you said martial arts if you can do things like that, it looks too clean. The messier, the more realistic. You know, if you see someone in like a street fight or a brawl or something, it's it's doesn't go the way, you know, you plan it necessarily, you know, so.
So, how's my slow motion run? Have you ever watched yourself in super slow-mo?
No. It is the worst thing in the world. She's like, damn, I really got I got to close my mouth like. Joss has Joss has to remind me. Lizzy, calm face. Because super slow-mo is not friendly. It's it's resting bitch face. That's like a new thing. What? Resting bitch face? It's like when you can someone catches you and you're like this. It's a permanent frown.
Anyway, thanks again. Um, we'll be looking for you and your posse, your cool posse in the next bit. We'll be tagging along too. We'll be like, there'll be like, why did those two photo bomb the Avengers? It's weird. So weird. Who are those guys? They were here last year. What are they doing? They're like, photo bomb the Avengers. Oh my God, that's hilarious. Thanks again.
