Hello everyone, I'm Tom Ellis.
We're here on the set of Lucifer and this is Young Hollywood.
Look who I found. Lucifer himself. Imagine that on the set of Lucifer. It's crazy, isn't it? It's crazy that I found you here. And I heard you biked here.
Well, I biked from my trailer. Yeah, we've all got bikes. It's a little bit like Stranger Things at the moment getting to set. Except for DB. He's choosing not to be in the bike as well. That's because he's cool. Most of the cast, they have these bikes now that they like to ride around on the Warner Brothers lot. I don't have one. We've all kind of like tried to pimp them out as much as possible. Um, but Lauren German by far and away is winning that competition.
Really?
It looks a little bit like, I don't know what it is, like something out of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or something. We're gonna put together a Lauren German, uh, detective kit. So, hoodie, I was gonna say trench coat, but, you know, I'm thinking at night, like, you look, you end up looking like a flasher.
Okay, so I heard you have potpourri in your trailer.
That's a blatant lie.
That's a lie?
It's a candle that smells nice. All of a sudden I saw Kevin Alejandro dragging this beat-up suitcase. Okay. Somewhere on the lot, like around our trailers and I was like, what are you doing? And he was like, There is a medicine ball if you want to work out. There's, um, I think maybe with some like potpourri. It's literally like a spa. All I know is that he took this really large beat-up suitcase and put it in Tom, Tom Ellis's, uh, dressing room. Okay. And, um, I still don't know what happened.
I heard candle and potpourri. No potpourri, who told you that? Amy Garcia told you that, didn't she?
Maybe. Yeah, I know it. My favorite part is this brand new second level library up there. That's pretty cool. Yeah, it's awesome. It looks very studious.
So what did they do? Did they pack all of this up in Canada and bring it here? They rebuild, how does it work?
I am so the wrong person to ask that question to.
Yeah, and this is your penthouse. So this is Luciferland. This is my favorite set to work on. It's such a nice set to work on, isn't it? Are any of the bar beverages real? Can you enjoy that? Yeah, or is it lemonades?
Not officially. Um, no, they're not actually. Uh, weirdly, I mean I wouldn't recommend drinking any of that because it's probably been sitting there for about four months. Yeah, gathering dust. But, uh, no, I mean I do ask on a regular basis if they can give me the real stuff and I'm always met with a resounding no.
So if you're gonna be a detective, what three things do you absolutely have to have?
You need a badge, a gun, and a scowl. Oh. Okay. A detective scowl, not like this. It's like Detective scowl. Okay. See that? I just detected something. When we're not, you know, doing something super serious, we like to keep it light. We like to have a laugh. We don't take ourselves too seriously.
You guys have such a natural chemistry and it's so fun to watch.
Yeah, it's really fun. You know, and Tom, uh, Tom Ellis is like one of my closest friends. So it's, he's like family and, and we like to laugh. You know, you realize when you're doing a show like this, we shoot, you know, I don't know, 14, 15 hours a day for 10 months straight. So you spend, you end up spending more time with the crew than you do your own family.
If you chose one cast member to go out to dinner with and hang out with after a long day of filming, who would you most likely grab dinner with?
Oh, that is such a tough question. Myself and uh, Amy Garcia, my unofficial dance partner, did an episode where uh, we end up in Vegas. I was hearing whispers about some Vegas dancers. It's like, who do you love more? Like your brother, your sister? Oh. Um, oh God, I don't know. That's so tough. Um, who's gonna see this video? Yeah, we really went for it as well. We got the full feathers and everything. We rented these costumes from Vegas, the proper go-go girls.
Did yours have feathers on it?
No, no, I wasn't in, I wasn't in that.
Okay, good.
I was in a tuxedo.
Okay. How cool.
But it was a lot of fun doing that.
So did you have to take dance classes before this?
I don't need to. I've got Amy Garcia on set 24/7. It's like, It's like Dancing with the Stars. It's a walking dance dance studio, she is.
I don't have a bike. Which means you guys are cool. That's what, that's what. DB, I know.
Tom Ellis, you know, it means we are lazy. I don't know. Walking, walking that distance might be more of an effort than biking. It takes longer. No, no, we don't walk. We take my. Oh. Oh. You take. We have golf carts. The golf carts that take us.
DB said he walked.
Well, he does walk sometimes. Okay, okay. Let's not go crazy.
If you could invite one person to come into the cast, come onto set, um, and guest star in an episode, who do you think you'd choose?
Halle Berry. No hesitation whatsoever. None whatsoever. Halle Berry.
Alright, Halle Berry. Story, we are done. Somebody call her. Halle Berry.
