When you got word that you were going to be taking part in this movie, End Eclipse, what went through your mind?

Disbelief.

I read for I think all the werewolf parts and then it came back to me and they said, "Well, we want you as Sam."

I had to go back and do my research and I found out, it's a big part.

And uh he's the alpha now.

He's the he's the leader of the werewolves.

So he takes care of his boys and when uh Jacob starts phasing into a werewolf he helps guide him along to help him phase.

So why is it so traumatic when they become werewolves?

Yeah.

Well, what happened to Sam is that no one was there to help him out.

So he went through all this by himself and he has a resentment towards uh the vampires.

Explain to me what Wolf Camp is.

And uh maybe show me a move or something.

When we got there, they got us a trainer.

But he he put us in this training where it was muscle confusion.

It was a lot of circuit training and we ate like six meals a day and drank three protein shakes.

And sometimes I would go hit the uh gym after later in the evening and work on your cardio.

I put on like 20 to 25 pounds of muscle.

I used to be a lot smaller than this.

I was like 165, 170.

Now, I'm almost 200.

And I'm not a disciplined kind of guy.

So it's very hard for me to get to the gym.

It's changed my life.

It really has.

In the movie, and when you actually see the werewolves on the screen, it's all your real eyes.

How does that translate to you like?

Yeah, that's pretty cool.

Yeah, it's the uh Chris Weitz, the director, wanted that in the uh CG of the werewolves.

I think that's pretty cool how he did that.

As an actor, you want to when you're a kid, you want to play like cops and robbers, you want to be the werewolf.

It's like being a big kid.

It is.

It's like watching this come into a reality.

Like, wow, it's it's pretty cool.

What is it about these four stories that connect to millions and millions of people everywhere?

I think that's what it is.

Is that people can relate to being an outsider.

I think everyone has that connection of not fitting in and people can relate to that.

Plus the love story.

Now, anytime I see Taylor in a magazine or on TV, he's got this great big smile.

He just looks so warm and welcoming.

Now, Kristen always looks very kind of reserved, put together a little bit.

Is that how she is on set?

Tell me a little bit about.

She can be, but uh she's very um she's been working as an actress for a long time.

So when she comes to set, she's really focused.

She knows what she needs to do and where to go with her character.

And uh, but she can, you know, cut up with the rest of us.

She's really funny.

I mean, she's really she's just a good person.

Really down to earth person.

Taylor, uh, that's my heart, man.

He's a good guy.

He's just down to earth.

With everything that's going on around him.

He's a please and thank you kind of guy.

And he's really a good a good ship.

Funniest thing that happened on set.

Being punched by Kristen.

Hurt.

It really did hurt.

First pop.

And then I had to do like what, 10, 15 more takes of her hitting me in the same exact spot.

All right, second funniest thing that happened on set.

Here's a story.

One time we were doing this walk through and uh rehearsing the scene and we had this glass door and Taylor, sorry, but Taylor's supposed to uh walk in, you know, very very like steadily and dreamy.

And he didn't realize the glass door was closed.

So he walks in.

Boom.

He hits that thing.

Everybody started laughing.

He started laughing.

But it was so funny because it was just so serious, so, you know, very James Dean, walk in.

He hits that thing.

That broke the tension.

It was good.

We have a good time on set.

We really do.

We have too much fun actually.
