What's up guys? Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood, taking you behind the scenes of Dancing with the Stars and the race for that mirrorball trophy. Today, I am with Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold.
Now we're going to add a pa-de-bourrée, so we're going to go forward, side, pa-de-bourrée. So you'll go back and side. That's it. Then you're going to kick with the other leg. Okay. So, kick, kick, pa-de-bourrée. Kick, kick, pa-de-bourrée. Good. Kick, kick, pa-de-bourrée. Hey, you're doing it. Hey.
Yeah.
I love this studio. I have to be honest, I've interviewed a few couples in this space.
Have you?
Okay. But you guys are on fire. You make this a little steamy in here.
Oh, thank you. We try. We try our best.
You guys bring it every week. It is so hot. It is so hot. How the chemistry gets so good.
I mean, it just like starting off with a solid friendship. I mean, that's really kind of where it begins. You know, we from day one we knew, oh, we're going to be friends for a long time. Yeah. And then immediately kind of started melting our families and like, you know, her husband and my girl and our both of our families in town, like everybody just kind of started hanging and getting to know each other and and just being able to start the competition off with that kind of trust and transparency between each other is something that was really special. And then just relinquishing everything. Like I just I every day I walk in and I'm like, okay, what can I what can I give you to make this the best that it can be?
Pretty awesome. Ballroom dancing isn't your expertise, but man, you're killing it.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
You're killing it. You're killing it. Now I know you're a huge sports fan.
Yeah, massive. Massive sports fan.
So sports that doesn't really play into dancing though.
It doesn't, no, it doesn't. No, it doesn't. So I was a gymnast growing up and so you know, that that helped me get a little comfortable with my body. Between that and performing, you know, doing Broadway and theater and that kind of thing. I'm comfortable in front of an audience, but ballroom is it is the most physically challenging thing I've ever done. So to be able to lean on a partner that knows how to teach it and can teach it in five days, it it blows my mind. I mean, the difference between dancing with the stars per se and Broadway is that I have five days to learn how to do something I've never done. Where on Broadway, I get a chance every night to master that craft and get better and better at that one thing. You know, so it was a very it's a very different experience, but this has been amazing.
You have a great partner and another good friend of yours, Lin-Manuel Miranda. Yeah. I love your tweets back and forth. You guys are so cute together and he is just, he's He's awesome. He's a genius. Talk about your friendship with that just that man.
It's like, I mean, it's honestly like being friends with Shakespeare. How do you how do you really kind of, you know, bring that back to earth for a second? He is literally going to go down in history as as an innovator, a Walt Disney or a Steve Jobs, or you know, to to be able to get in his head at all, to be able to work with him, collaborate with him in any capacity is is an honor.
Kick out. One and two, cha-cha-cha, kick. Kick ball change. Kick ball change. Out, in.
Now you've had a good run. You
I have.
You've placed here and there, fourth, third, second.
Yeah. I think now we mean you have one spot left to go. It sounds pretty good. It sounds pretty freaking good. So we're doing everything we can to make that happen. But obviously a lot of that is out of our control. I mean, people got to vote and we're just hoping that people have enjoyed what we've given so far because we have loved every minute of this show. Yeah. I'm I'm so grateful for the journey. I'm grateful for the marathon that it's been and what's led me to this moment and being here and being excited to hopefully get to the get to the end and see this girl finally hoist a mirrorball up. It was I mean, it would that that's what would make my whole whole world where this competition is concerned.
Well, for you to hold the mirrorball up. It would be just as good.
It wouldn't be terrible. It wouldn't be terrible. It's different. We got it.
So, come on in. Spin in and then rotate and then down. Very nice. That was why. Very nice.
Yeah. I love it.
You're great. You're a natural.
