After a long hiatus, Fear Factor is finally coming back to TV and I'm on the set about to step up to one of their more savory challenges.

What is that smell?

Thanks for coming to visit us on set.

I'm nervous, I'm excited.

I smell weird things.

What am I about to experience?

Uh, you're about to experience one of our very rare eating challenges on this MTV incarnation of Fear Factor.

Uh, this go around, we're not leading into that so much, we're leading into more anxieties and fears of millennials, but you're lucky.

Today you get to be on one of our two eating challenges.

So we're doing uh a uh a game that's like a little, like a little game you'll see, and then you get to eat whatever it lands on.

Okay.

Yeah, very similar to stuff I've seen on other game shows, uh classic game shows.

Sure.

Yeah, it's like a classic like pinball kind of game.

And you get to eat what it lands on.

Seems harmless enough.

Harmless enough until you see what you're going to eat.

100-year-old egg.

No thanks, you know, I'm gonna pass.

Oh, Okay, so the first team is going.

They're going first, those brave souls.

I'm going to try to not look cause I feel like it's gonna mess up my game, but oh man, that does not smell pretty.

Yeah, we're really lucky to get him.

He is, he's really like, he's into the show, like he saw it in its earlier incarnations, but he's bringing like a new take to it, you know, it's kind of, it's kind of Ludicrous's show.

He's very playful with the people.

Often times, they're doing something terrible, he's doing something that's nice.

But also, also what's really important in this version is uh that we're having help people face their fears.

So they're attacking fears and they're overcoming those fears.

And it's kind of, you know, this pride moment where it's like, okay, you may have lost or you may have cried or you may have fallen on the ground in fear, but at least you're stepping up and going to the plate and trying to, you know, do defeat your fears.

Yeah.
