Tracy here with Young Hollywood, and we are bringing you exclusive access backstage at the Teen Nick Halo Awards. I'm standing right in front of the stage. The show is about to get started really soon. We're going to be hanging out in the Halo Hive lounge where we're going to be talking with all your favorite celebrities. So, stay tuned. I'm with the one and only, Kevin Jonas.
I don't know about the one and only. I guess it is well
You are the one and only. You never know. You never know. And you're going to be co-hosting tomorrow night.
It should be a good time. Um, you know, I love, you know, co-hosting, hosting different things so to be able to do this with Nick and Janette McCurdy, it's going to be a lot of fun.
I am backstage at the Teen Nick Halo Awards with Fall Out Boy. Hi, how are you? So you guys just performed?
Yeah, yeah. Thank you. Uh, we didn't think we would get to perform on a rooftop overlooking Sunset Boulevard though so that was wild.
I'm with the one and only, Mr. Austin Mahone. How are you doing? So you just came off an amazing killer rehearsal for tomorrow's Teen Nick Halo Awards.
Yeah, it was pretty fun. I'm excited. Uh, it's my first Halo Awards so I'm pretty pretty excited about that. It's going to be a good time.
I'm with the Jain Doze who are DJing the night of the Teen Nick Halo Awards.
Yep. Pretty excited about it. Never done anything like this before so it's a new
Really? What are you guys planning on jamming out tonight to? Second guest: She's going to keep uh the party going. Upbeat, lots of fist bump.
I'm with Kira Kosarin from The Thundermans.
Hi, it's good to be here. I'm so excited.
I'm with Jeanette McCurdy at the Teen Nick Halo Awards.
Hello, everybody. Hi.
We are sitting backstage. You're about to go on stage and you're going to be co-hosting with the one and only Nick Cannon and Kevin Jonas tonight.
Yes, I'm so excited. Nick invited me to do this and I was really thrilled and happy to help support these young people who are doing such great things for, you know, their communities.
I am with Diego and Jack from The Thundermans.
Hey. Nice to meet you, Tracy. Nice to meet you.
So, you guys are looking very dapper in your suits tonight for the Teen Nick Halo Awards. Second guest: Yeah, we're excited. We're excited to be here. Yeah, definitely. dress up and yeah, it's fun.
Is it your first time at the show?
Uh yes, it is. It's both of our first times. Yeah. Yes.
So, it's all about kids who are, you know, giving back to their communities and doing good and how are you guys, you know, in support of kids doing good, which is important in life. Second guest: Just a leader in your school. Just like standing up for bullying, that's something as simple as that uh can really make a difference in and um, you know, just the way your school functions. Um, I don't think you have to do crazy things to Halo. You just uh have to be a leader. You got to be a good person, that's all I'm saying. That's all.
Yeah. Exactly. I think a lot of kids, you know, are afraid, a lot of people, young people are afraid to get out there and do something good. Um, because they feel like what kind of impact can they can they actually make. And that's why this award show is amazing is because they're honoring the people that are really doing the things that matter and really making a difference and making, you know, saying something great and and I think what's really nice about, you know, all of these things is just that when you have something that honors kids that really, you know, go the extra mile. It it shows them that, you know, there is a reason. There is a there is a there's a goal, you know, you have not only just to get honored an award show but really that you're the things that you're doing are are worth it.
I have a huge amount of respect for these kids who are not just saying like, oh, I could do something, I could make a difference. They're actually saying I am one person and that's okay, I'm going to make a big difference in my community and I have such a huge amount of respect for that. Um, so I think this whole concept of like celebrities giving the awards to the kids, it's the coolest thing.
I think if you, if you're giving back to others, it'll actually, it makes you feel so good uh that you're you're it's like a win-win situation. You know what I mean? Sometimes if you get out of your head a little bit and and you go do something for somebody else, you're just going to feel better about yourself. So, help others. Do good things.
We've always been like really socially aware and we try like, we have a lot of young fans and we try to like instill a lot of our beliefs uh to them, you know.
Her show, Sam & Cat is doing awesome. We all love it. So, let's talk about your Vine videos because they're hilarious. If you all haven't watched her Vines,
Thank you.
You're just like What's the last one? You were like asking people what you looked like in your dress.
Yeah, the last one, I don't know, it's somehow to be like a character like a girl is like, you know, like kind of like a whiny girl voice, like a little too self-obsessed. Um, I don't know, that's a fun character but I just like to have fun. I hope people are laughing. If you are, great, if not, go watch something else.
And your show is doing awesome, The Thundermans, it's new.
Thank you. My show is finally airing, I'm so excited. Um, yeah, we've been working on Thundermans for a little while now and to have it actually be out and airing and be able to share it with people is so great. We, you know, put so much effort into it every day and to be able to really share it with everybody is so amazingly exciting. Um, and I love, I love going to work every day. I love my cast. It's been a really exciting year.
And you guys just remixed Britney Spears, right? Work B!
Work B, exactly. Yeah, we were uh, we were talking about it earlier, it was pretty crazy. We did the remix and we were waiting and waiting to see if she would approve and then we just got one single email, two words, Britney approves. That's all you need in life. I feel like. It's like #FromNaynayFromIt. That's it. And uh, you know, it's like a when I'm 13 years old in my bedroom doing like this move. You wait for that to happen.
How have you evolved as an artist, as a person, you know, with business, with everything.
My life has changed so much in the last, you know, in the last 10 years. You know, you know, I felt like I was a kid back then starting this, you know, this band and, you know, been able to do so many different things and been so blessed in my life and, you know, luckily we still have the opportunities to do fun things like this today and tomorrow and, you know, I'm just just really looking forward to it and, you know, just excited about all the things, you know, and all the potential.
I feel like I, I had a a couple years where I was I sort of had the mentality of like, oh, you have to more more more more. More is better. And now I definitely think about things before I I commit to them and I think I've found more of a sense of myself and I'm um, I think I'm I'm more comfortable in my own skin and uh, you know, I am who I was but I I hope that I've I've matured in a in a positive way. You know. And I feel like I I evolve every day. You know, I try to become a better dancer and a better singer and a better, you know, just performer, you know, all around every day. So, I mean, I've definitely, you know, looked back at like laugh at performances and like like weeks ago and just like, man, you've come a long way.
You go from music to having your own TV show and now crazy, you know. A father almost.
Yeah, you get to transition a lot, you know. You get to in a way a lot of people have grown up with us and uh, you know, they get to see, you know, our journey and my path now is, you know, I'm going more into the business side of things and the production and and also the hosting and, you know, of course going to be a father. So it's going to be a lot of fun, unique things for me in my next coming years but we'll see what happens.
In shows like this, it's it's when you cut through like all the like BS and we actually do celebrate kids who are giving back. And I think that's awesome. That's important for both the kids and it's important for us as being a part of like instilling that in the next generation.
Well, we're I'm so glad you guys are back from your hiatus and you're back in action. Have fun tonight.
