Hey guys, Nicki Novack here for Young Hollywood in Arizona at the Super Bowl. We are at one of the hottest parties of the year, the Madden Bowl. I'm here with Kevin Hart, I'm just wondering if I can just take this with me.

Kevin Hart

Why would you take it? I just showed up at your table.

Young Hollywood

I mean, I was just like, I could just put this on my forehead.

Kevin Hart

First of all, who let you in here? Where was security? Why didn't anybody stop you?

Young Hollywood

I had to grease a few people. I made it in and here we are.

Kevin Hart

Yes, we're here.

Young Hollywood

And I just read a tweet. You said I'm tired and you just came back from Texas. How are you doing to yourself in Arizona?

Kevin Hart

Uh, you know what, man, first of all, you you got to wake up. It's Phoenix. Phoenix is too much of an amazing town, too many beautiful people. Uh, Austin, Texas definitely wore me out.

Young Hollywood

I have an idea. And I was thinking about this this afternoon, I swear to you. I think they should I love Katie Perry. I love the halftime show. Stand up. You should be the first person to do stand up at the halftime of the Super Bowl.

Kevin Hart

Yeah. That would not only be amazing but that would probably be one of the scariest experiences of my life.

Young Hollywood

I mean you've got some in front of some big crowds.

Kevin Hart

Well, I've done some big crowds. The Super Bowl is a different. That's a tough crowd. Listen. You don't want that one to go bad. That one goes bad, it's bad for a long time. Only thing is, I I like to cuss and I can't cuss at the halftime show at Super Bowl. That's not a bad cussing but Yeah. I like to I like to throw a little little pieces of filth in there every once in a while. Nothing bad.

Young Hollywood

If they could handle a wardrobe malfunction, they could handle a little bit of cussing.

Kevin Hart

I mean, well, you know, I'm nowhere near. What I'm talking about is nowhere near a nipple. It's not that bad.

Young Hollywood

You've been performing in your tour for a bit now. The what now tour. How do you bring a fresh take every time?

Kevin Hart

Uh, I love my job. I love the fact that I make people laugh for a living. I love the fact that being a personality and coming out and sharing my stories is what people love and what people get off on. So, every day that I get to do it, I approach it as if it's the first day. There's never a situation where I'm jaded. There's never a situation where it's, oh, I got to go perform. I love it. I love doing stand up. That's my that's my drug. I've been doing it now for almost 19 years.

Young Hollywood

Now, I know you picked out your Madden ultimate team.

Kevin Hart

I did. Yes.

Young Hollywood

You threw a little Dion Prime Time in there. A few old school guys. I want to ask you, if you were playing quarterback. You could have anybody hike you the ball. So they're standing in front of you. You got the visual? You got the visual? Anybody. Anybody. Anybody.

Kevin Hart

This is one of the best questions I've ever been asked. So I'm going to show you how smart I am. My fiance. There you go. Hike me the ball. You had to say it. Now, if this is off camera, I I got another list for you. Cut it. Now, Cut it. I got another list for you but on this camera, nobody but my fiance.

Young Hollywood

Great answer. You couldn't say anything but. Now, let's say you scored a touchdown. Okay. What would be your end zone sort of, I feel like you'd go big.

Kevin Hart

Oh, easy, easy answer. I'm going to bring back the Icky Shuffle.

Young Hollywood

Can you show us?

Kevin Hart

What Icky used to do. Icky used to do a dance when he got in the NFL. And it was a huge shuffle. It was. Luckily for you guys, I wore a silk shirt so I was able to make those movements with some flow to it. Icky shuffle.

Young Hollywood

You still get starstruck?

Kevin Hart

I do. Last time I got starstruck, I saw um Madonna at an awards show. And Madonna walked in, she had a cane. She had her team with her. She was like, oh, Kevin Hart. I was like. Wow. Pretty incredible. I was very blown away.

Young Hollywood

And on the flip side, who has blown you away that has walked up to you and said Kevin Hart, I'm a fan of yours?

Kevin Hart

Don Johnson. Little Miami Vice.

Young Hollywood

Why Don Johnson?

Kevin Hart

I'm uh just I'm just a fan but it's not what people have done and their accomplishments. It's the people who are grounded enough and that maintain a level of of of real. You know. That's what blows me away. Madonna pointing at me. Yeah. It meant a lot. I can go down a list.

Young Hollywood

You're obviously you're you're at such a high right now in terms of your career.

Kevin Hart

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

And you're doing great. Do you have your eye on something still that you're like, I still want to do this?

Kevin Hart

Uh, yeah. I mean, I want to be a mogul. You know, uh I don't work hard for nothing. I don't work hard for today. I work hard for tomorrow. So, the fact that my last name Hart has been passed on to two little kids and possibly another in my future, it's about leaving a legacy for them. I'm a different breed when it comes to thinking. I I think I have great role models. Jay-Z, Beyonce, Tyler Perry has done amazing things from an entrepreneurship side. Diddy, uh Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine, these are all people who have taken something and made it into something else.

Young Hollywood

Now, when you say you've been in the business 19 years. Obviously, there's years before where you struggle and you're you're coming up. How did you at what point did you go? Did you always have that I'm going to make it no matter what? At what point did you go, you know what? I see it. I see it. It's going to happen.

Kevin Hart

There was never a point where I felt like I doubted myself or where I doubted my my talent. At the end of the day, you need a little luck. You need to get the coin to flip on the right side a couple times. But with that, you need perseverance. You need consistency. Uh and I think those are all things combined that winners have. Successful people have those things. I have no reason to be angry about anything. None. I have no reason to be angry ever again.

Young Hollywood

After having sat here at your table, you are such a pleasure.

Kevin Hart

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

You are my favorite comedian.

Kevin Hart

Oh, thank you.

Young Hollywood

Always have been. Even before. Even before we had our little sit down and I took this.

Kevin Hart

Before you took the sign. You know what? You can have this sign. My heart is my my heart is reserved. You can have this sign. It was a pleasure talking to you. Thank you so much.

Young Hollywood

I'm serious. You're amazing.

Kevin Hart

Thank you.
