Well, we're happy to be in New York. What are your thoughts? I know everybody's sort of talking weighing in. Is it smart to have a Super Bowl in the cold?

ESPN's Jay Williams

I'm from Canada. I don't find this cold. I'm okay. Like I I'm really think like stop the complaining, you know what I mean?

ESPN's Jay Williams

Well the cool thing for me is that I'm going to be in my hotel room watching the Super Bowl.

Young Hollywood

Is that how you're watching? You're not going to be at a fabulous party?

ESPN's Jay Williams

Uh no. I I think I'll be partied out by Sunday with all the events leading up to it. Yeah. room service, you know what I mean? a glass of champagne something.

Young Hollywood

If you were going to have one person that you could throw into the game to make a clutch play. Any person, any celebrities who you think is kicks some butt and you think that could go out on the field and yeah, any person.

ESPN's Jay Williams

Um, if I could do any person, it would probably be Usher Raymond because I've known Usher for a while and Usher swears. He is the most athletic person on the planet. And he's the only guy I know that when we play basketball, he will he will ice me out of the game. I'm like, hey, I love you. but I'm two-time national player of the year. I think I should get some touches. And he's not that good, but I would still throw him in the game because he's the guy that talks a lot about how good he is. So it would be interesting to see him on the field.

Young Hollywood

Who do you think out there, an athlete, a celebrity that has a hidden talent we don't know about.

ESPN's Jay Williams

Wow, that's a great question. Um, you know what, this may sound a little bit absurd because he's been saying crazy things, but I kind of like the fact that Richard Sherman can change it up, right? Um, he can get a little compton on you, which, you know, people are like, okay, that kind of throws me off. But then he has this whole Stanford, this educated side and it's hard to get a read on him. And I just feel like You can't figure him out. He can he can kind of he can turn that angle if he decides to. Yeah. Um, the braids, I don't know, we can we can lose that. But uh, he's educated and I like that.

Young Hollywood

This week, when you say you're going to be partied out, you're going out. Is there one person you haven't met, you're excited to see, you're excited to meet.

ESPN's Jay Williams

You know, I I met a lot of people. Um, probably one person I don't know if he's going to be there, but I'm I'm old school though, like Sean Connery, you know what I mean? Like he probably won't be there or like a Richard Gear or somebody like that. I think those are because I'm going to so many events and there's such this kind of integration between athletes and celebrities that I feel like I meet all the young celebrities, the young actors. I don't meet all like the old school Hollywood fame kind of actors, you know what I mean? or actresses.

Young Hollywood

Is this your normal, I mean, what is your style? What is your sort of

ESPN's Jay Williams

You know what, I guess if somebody could describe my style, it would be if I could dress like a clean cut Italian guy every single day, that would be my style.

Young Hollywood

Can you do that?

ESPN's Jay Williams

No, I can't. If I was a black guy doing Italian accent, that would be amazing. Wouldn't be fantastic. It would be fantastic.

Young Hollywood

All right, are you ready for a really young Hollywood question?

ESPN's Jay Williams

I'm ready.

Young Hollywood

You're making a boy band. Four athletes.

ESPN's Jay Williams

I'm making a boy band with four athletes. Um, four athletes boy band. I don't know if it's a compliment. Oh my goodness. I know. I'm like, I don't know how to take that because part of me wants to like throw myself in there.

Young Hollywood

Throw yourself in there.

ESPN's Jay Williams

Okay, all right. I'll have to go because I think he'll be great. Kevin Durant. Just because he's extra tall. He'll be it'll be really awkward to have a seven-footer on the stage with me. During the boy band moves. Exactly. Um, David Price. Okay. him, because I think he's a little bit awkward and goofy too, pitcher. So you have baseball, you have basketball.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, you're going all sports.

ESPN's Jay Williams

Yeah, and then uh maybe Terrell Owens, because he he's just out there and he's crazy. So I I think we're a little bit all over the map. You know, we're funky.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. So what what's their boy band name?

ESPN's Jay Williams

I just think the Jays. The the Jays. I like that.

Young Hollywood

So how do you eat fresh, stay in shape?

ESPN's Jay Williams

You know what, I I can't run up and down the court that much anymore. So I do this thing every single morning where I do a pyramid of 15. Like 15 pushups, 15 abs, then I go down 14 pushups, 14 abs. Go all the way down, go back up to 15. And I love to box. I don't like to get hit in the face, but I like to box.

Young Hollywood

It's the moneymaker.

ESPN's Jay Williams

I know, right? You can't anything from here down you can hit. Here up can't happen.

Young Hollywood

And your diet?

ESPN's Jay Williams

Um, I eat small. I eat like in little small segments throughout the day. Um, now, look, if we're in New York City, we're going out for a nice dinner. Um, you know, I'll indulge every once in a while. But I think that I I learned a lot about myself when I was trying to train to get back to play because I became a lot more health conscious. Um, so eating in small segments throughout the course of the day, that's usually the way to do it.

Young Hollywood

Okay, so you're talking about New York. One hotspot we got to hit while we're here.

ESPN's Jay Williams

You got to come to my restaurant, STK. Got to come to STK. You got to come check it out.

Young Hollywood

Thank you so much. Thank you so much for having me. I appreciate it.
