It is the first ever Blue Diamond Gala and we are talking charity and fashion.

Magic, we love coming to Dodger Stadium and now we're here for the first annual Gala.

It's all about charity, little fashion.

Yes, uh uh a lot of fashion and uh charity.

Today when you put on the event, you had to have something special and I think that Ted Baker being here, being put on a fashion show and also raising money for a great cause.

We bus in thousands and thousands of kids from the inner cities here in Los Angeles.

We bring them to the game for free.

We give them hats, we feed them.

We give them a great experience of of Dodger Stadium.

Hey, let's win the World Series, but also let's win in the community.

This is my normal look.

I didn't even have to fit me or anything.

This is my normal Thursday afternoon, um, outfit.

My madman look, my cocktail hour.

This was easy for me.

Just to show up and they said, "AJ, just come as you are. We know you'll be great."

My friends good day.

Everything's good for today.

And you look good too.

That's what it's about.

Fashion, charity, right?

Yeah, it's a lot of fun, just uh, you know, getting to hang out.

Dodger Foundation does a lot of great things.

So, uh, you know, happy to be a part of it.

Young Hollywood loves the Dodgers and Young Hollywood also loves Subway.

You are now a famous fan for Subway.

Yeah, it's uh, you know, eating their sandwiches my whole life, so it's pretty cool.

What an honor it is that you get to perform at the first annual Blue Diamond Gala for the Dodgers.

It's really wonderful to be here.

You give back just as much as you write music.

I try to.

It's part of my mission as an as an artist and as a, you know, public figure.

I just want to do as much as I can to create positive social change.

Where does the inspiration come from for your charity work and your music?

Because the lyrics are stunning.

The lyrics are all about trying to tell stories and tell stories in ways that can touch people's hearts.

And sometimes those stories intersect with my my philanthropy.

Sometimes the stories are about the underdog and and the folks who are just looking for a chance at life.

Fashion and charity.

Yeah, no doubt.

I'm more in I like the charity part.

I'm not so much for the fashion.

I don't know.

I've kind of jeans and uh, tennis shoes.

You look good.

Do you look like this every day or Ted Baker's mom out at home putting you together every day?

No, Ted's not putting me together, but for the most part, it's pretty casual.

My style, man, it's nice and casual, usually.

That's my thing, uh, kind of pair sweatpants.

Pretty boring actually.

Not no style is my style, so.

And some Jordans.

Yes, some Jordans and that's it.

This is your style when you're not in uniform.

I feel a little underdressed.

Usually I'm in a tuxedo on Thursdays.

Thursday's tuxedo day.

It should be for everyone, I think.

So, we're um, we'll just dress down a little bit.

Go a little bit more casual.

You look fabulous in Mr. Ted Baker.

Yes, they uh, Mr. Ted himself dressed me.

I have I have not.

Have you? Second guest: I've never met him. Second guest: You got to give it to the people with Ted Baker down there, you know. Second guest: They got us all situated nice and uh, I definitely couldn't do it on my own.

How long does it really take you to get ready when you're not in uniform? Second guest: Longer than her, I swear to God. Second guest: So it's uh, you know, a long pro- I have a process. Second guest: Probably like 45 minutes.

Well, you know, uh, longer than my wife.

I was gonna say, behind every well-dressed man is a stunning wife.

Let's be honest.

What's he like in the clothing department, really?

No, he's really good.

He has very good taste.

What I do have to say, I beat him today.

Yeah, yeah. Second guest: But hey, finally she did, you know.

So, I was just complimenting how great he looks.

You look amazing too.

Is this your first fashion show, honestly? Third guest: Yeah, this is this is my first time with any type of carpet, you know? Third guest: I mean, I'm happy about my suit right now. Third guest: That's about the only thing I can tell you. Third guest: I don't I don't like on it.

You look like Leonardo DiCaprio on Wolf of Wall Street, right there.

Yeah.

You look like an older Leo.

You look like a younger Leo. Third guest: Wow, look at that. Third guest: Hey, that's what's up. Third guest: But I don't have the I don't have the Wolf of Wall Street look going.

They do. Third guest: Somewhat.

Dude, you do.

You've got it going on.

Now talk about it.

Going from baseball player to model.

Kind of the same thing, right? Third guest: Yes, it's entertaining. Third guest: Um, I'm on a runway, I'm on the field, the people in the stands watch me. Third guest: They clap. Third guest: They want to see me be successful as I do my turns when I'm on the bases, just as they want to see me turn up and down the runway without falling.

When I take that one button down, right?

You throw it back.

into the pocket.

And then you then then you break into it, but I don't want to hey, you know, I don't want to do it yet.

I don't want to do it yet.

We're gonna draw a crowd.

I always want to look, um, look good with the outfits that I wear.

I look to my heroes of the past in soul music.

They always had a suit on.

And I think it makes it it makes it that much better if you can represent the heroes from the past and do this for music.

So do you do your own shopping?

Is this all you?

Sometimes I style myself.

Uh, sometimes I get some help.

Well, it looks good.

And when you're not in a suit, what does the other outfit look like?

Um, well, only my wife knows that.

And by the way, speaking of your wife and your family, you have a very small child.

Donny, baseball just had a baby as well.

That's right.

Yeah.

I mean, having having children is really important in in my life.

I always wanted to have a family and to be a father is the best job I've ever had.

Well, then how do you put him to sleep?

What do you do?

Mama puts him to sleep.

Yeah, that's the way it goes.

Now you probably sing to her though.

Yeah, I do sing to her and she, you know, quite honestly, it's an amazing experience to see a child grow and become musical and artistic on their own.

But I guess she's in a home full of music and art anyway, so she's learning from us.

Well, on our team, the Dodgers, as a owner, you gotta love 'em all.

Well, then let's throw one under the bus.

Who could use a little tweaking in the clothing department?

Well, I gotta look at all of them.

I haven't seen all of them tonight, but when I look at them, I'll tell you.

You'd be pretty proud.

They all look classy tonight.

Give me some on that.
