Nikki Novak here for Young Hollywood at the sixth annual George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic. It is raining out. It never rains in LA. So we're going to head inside to the GBK Gifting suite.
So you are the man today. You know, people come back year after year. This is the sixth annual George Lopez tournament. So six years into this, how good are you at this point at golf?
Not very, but you can have a good time and not be good. Really golf is about the romance, the guys getting out there, isn't it? I love all these guys. So yes, I would say that, uh, I have crushes on several of the players today.
Who do you have the biggest crush on?
Uh, Adam LaVine.
Here with Chris Tucker who is wearing his Tiger Woods hat. Do you have the tiger swing? Let's see.
I got to stay down. I got to keep down like that and come in like that.
What about any of your co-stars from Silver Linings? Cuz I'd love to play with Bradley or Mr. De Niro or
What Jennifer? You can't you can't leave her out. Jennifer, yeah. I think she'd be a good golfer.
So, scandal. What's the most scandalous thing you've ever done on a golf course?
The most scandalous thing I've ever done on a golf course? Well, uh, when I was in high school, I had friends who lived on a golf course. I won't go into detail, but, uh, I had some good times on a golf course back then. Probably probably better when I didn't play golf than now when I do.
I am here with Sugar Ray Leonard. Is there anything that you took from boxing that helps you with your game?
No. Totally different. No, not not at all.
So we asked Scott Foley, who's on Scandal, what's the most scandalous thing he's ever done on a golf course. For you, what's the most criminal thing, because of Criminal Minds, you've ever done on a golf course?
Oh, God. I'm sure some of my wayward shots have been criminal because God, you know, I'm hoping I never killed anyone, but you never know.
I am here with Rob Riggle, who looks the part. You definitely look like a golfer. White belt. That's it's all about the white belt. That that means you're a golfer. Now, how are you how are your golf skills from last year? Have they improved?
I think they've degraded. It's going to be a hot mess today.
So Modern Family, you've been doing a lot of that. Yeah, yeah. Is it fun playing the bad guy?
He's just misunderstood. It's it's like Darth Vader. There's goodness in there. Somebody's just got to find it.
I am here with Tony Dovolani from Dancing With the Stars. How is your dancing going to help you with your golf game? Does it help you?
It helps in every which way. I mean, I've only been golfing for five years. I'm already a two handicap.
So we had Aly Raisman in our studio, and we had Zendaya in our studio. Any predictions on who's going to win this season? Who's going to take it?
It's going to be very tight, but I think Zendaya is, you know, is looking way too strong. And she's she's hitting her home stretch right now, and she's looking stronger and stronger.
Can you give me a little golf lesson? A golf sort of dance lesson?
Of course. Okay. Do this. All right. With your feet apart. Yep. With your feet apart and just do this with your hips. There you go. You're going to be very successful in life if you keep doing that.
So, obviously the rain, it's raining. How is your strategy going to change based on the rain? How are you going to approach it with a fresh take?
Well, we'll probably sell more alcohol, uh, here at the club, especially with the weather in it. Uh, it it destroys my game. It really does.
How do you take the rain and the conditions and use it for your strategy and like bring like a fresh take to the course?
Well, you know the ball don't move as much, so that's good for me. So, wherever I hit it, it'll it'll it'll stay. I uh, I look at the weather as a benefit to my game because it's so bad to begin with that it really can't get any worse. I can't worry about my game as much as I need to get in other people's heads. You sure that's club you want to hit? Okay. A lot of in the back swings. Basically, I'm going to drag everybody else down with me.
So, I know the last time we talked to you was in Austin for 21 Jump Street. That's right. That's right. Sequel?
There I think they're doing it. Right?
They as in not not you?
Don't know yet.
Who do you have to suck up to? Is it Jonah Hill? Who are you sucking up to?
Interesting choice of words. Um, yes, it would be both Channing and and Jonah.
What do you guys do when you hang out?
When I hang out with Channing, we were down at the Super Bowl, and he's got he owns a bar down on Bourbon Street.
I think I saw that picture with you with the balcony.
We were on the balcony. Yes, and it was just like pandemonium. Yeah, it was one of those things that never happens to me. Never. Once in my life.
If you could play with any pro player, who would it be?
Oh, God. I mean, it's got to be what, like Tiger, right?
I would play with uh, Tiger.
Tiger.
If you could have anybody to play with today, who would it be?
Tiger. Maybe Freddie Couples.
So if you could have anybody in the world be your caddy today. Carry your clubs, give you advice, help you out. Who would it be?
You know, I'd let the Dalai Lama carry my my clubs.
Charles Barkley.
Uh, I'd have I'd have Tiger Woods as my caddy.
Who would it be?
Somebody pretty. I was going to say. I was going through my Rolodex of female. But then I was like, she's engaged, she's married, she's married, engaged, engaged. You want you want a caddy? I'm totally caddying for you today. Today is really working out well, I got to say.
So you're being very humble because you're here to support George for his event, but you have your own event coming up.
Uh, May 21st, uh, at the Santa Monica Pier, uh, a great night of boxing. We're raising awareness and raising funds that goes towards trying to eradicate, uh, uh, diabetes in kids.
This this guy here is my friend. You're only saying it because I'm hosting your event. There would be four fights. If I don't show up, there's going to be five fights. It's going to be me and the champ. Actually, me and the champ's wife, because I told him I was coming. In fact, my wife hounded this guy.
You did. She did.
Did she? She did. Bernadet did. She text him, she emailed him. She stalked me. Borderline stalked me. But it's for a great cause, man.
And who's fighting in this event?
Professional fighters who are trying to reach that goal and trying to, well, not be like Mayweather, but Yeah, they want to be in that tax bracket. They want to be in that Mayweather tax bracket, but they want to pay their taxes. Have you Dammit, I'm I'm sorry, Money. I'm sorry, Floyd.
