What's up, guys? Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood coming to you from Fontana. I am at the Auto Club Speedway surrounded by NASCAR greatness as they gear up for the Auto Club 400. Jeff Gordon, this is an honor to be standing with you and next to your automobile.

Well, thank you, great to have me here. We love racing here in Southern California. It's a it's a great race track and we got, you know, surprisingly a lot of NASCAR fans here in Southern California.

Now, on a race day, do you shave? What's your prep like?

What's my prep like? Uh, I typically like to be clean shaven. Yes. I mean, during the week, no, but uh, when I get to the race track, you know, I try to do the best I can representing my sponsors and uh, with my sponsors, we're we're, you know, we're we're about uh, helping people who are 50 and over dealing with hunger issues. We're uh, a paint company, we're Pepsi Max. On the Pepsi Max days, when they're on the car, I don't have to shave. Other than that, I'm usually pretty clean shaven.

Your commercials, your pranks are ridiculous. You're a jokester, you're a comedian. I think you have a career in comedy when all is said and done.

Oh, well, thank you. I don't know about that. Uh, I I enjoy when the right opportunity comes along to sort of step outside my boundaries or my comfort zone. And, you know, it just it takes good planning. If if I see whether it be scripted or whether it be just something off the cuff that looks like fun, and I and I can maybe pull it off, then I'm like, yeah, let's go for it, let's do it. And fortunately, with some different instances like with Pepsi Max. We've been able to do it and have fun and and it's turned out good.

I have to ask about your onesie. I call it onesie.

My onesie, yeah.

When you make a pit stop. Do you get to make a pit stop?

Pit stop. There's one final pit stop before every race. That's the most important pit stop of the day. That's to make sure that there's no accidents throughout the race. But if there is an accident, what do you do? I'm in a onesie. I'm good. I love it.

Speaking of car, one second, just show me around your car.

Right now, we have our Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet up on jack stands. We're getting ready for our next practice session, final practice session to get ready for the race. Really just trying to find that perfect setup uh for the track conditions that we're gonna have tomorrow. We have a very fast race car, so now we're just just trying to make it go a little bit faster.

And what are they doing right now? with the car.

Uh, so these are the scales. We put the car on scales and we we weigh the car on each corner and that tells us uh gives us just a lot of information about the setup of the car. And it looks like they're they're just finalizing what spring, shocks, nose weight and uh, sway bars and some of the shocks that we're going to uh go into this final practice with.

Okay, say you have one day away from racing. You can't race, you can't be behind the wheel. What are you doing?

Definitely hanging out with my wife and my kids. Uh, we we just had that this week. We went out to Santa Monica Pier, uh, and enjoyed this beautiful California weather, uh the beach, the rides, the uh, the games. We had a great time.

Are you ever playing NASCAR Wii?

Uh, I get to do that for a living. I don't have to do that. I love Wii U uh, and my kids play Mario Super Mario Brothers. But we usually don't do racing games.

You're not yourself when you're playing.

Uh, my no, if we were, my kids probably would be. Uh, who would I be? Who would I be? I don't know. Jimmy Johnson seems to win everything. I guess I'd be Jimmy Johnson. Seems like a good pick to me. If if his car and and and and his character on that game makes it better, then I'm going with the best one. I'm gonna go with you. How about that?
