L.A. Kings Skate For

I mean he looks pretty good though for after winning the Stanley Cup and you know, it's a short summer. I think he's still holding it pretty good.

Young Hollywood

Well, I think you need to stand up and just show off for a second.

L.A. Kings Skate For

Well I stand up?

Young Hollywood

Yeah. Flex. Flex.

L.A. Kings Skate For

If he took his off, I'd look a lot better.

Young Hollywood

Okay, wait. Play by play.

L.A. Kings Skate For

Oh, god. That's not bad, right? That's not bad. For a guy who's been fat his whole life, that's not bad. He's getting all red over here, bro. What lock out?

Young Hollywood

What's up guys? Leslie Robbins here, Young Hollywood has exclusive access. We are on the ice as some of your favorite NHL players skate for charity. What are you bringing to the ice today as coach Michael Rosenbaum?

Michael Rosenbaum

I'm bringing a big W, Leslie. You know what a W means? It means win. My main tip is like it's for charity, but we're we're here to win. I want my team to win. I certainly don't want to lose. Got a couple side bets going on, so we need to win this game.

L.A. Kings Skate For

Ston, get over here. Get over here. I told them look, this is a charity game tonight, but is it really? You got the lock out, you got all this crap going on in the world. We got a lot of stuff to work for here. We got to get ourselves Oh, I don't know about game seven but No, don't tell me we're gonna half ass it for a charity game. You're gonna see the first couple shifts really hard and then the last couple. Are you in shape? Not. All right, you're benched. You're benched. Defense, defense, defense. I think that's what wins a game like this. We get we have some good defense and that's that's gonna be our strategy tonight. So this is playoff hockey tonight. We're I want to see some good hockey. You should be able to come to see guys shaking hands and having fun.

Young Hollywood

What's your name?

Jonas

Jonas Hord.

Young Hollywood

You're on camera right now, buddy. Listen, I want you gotta play hard. I can't I can't take talk right now, right? I can't talk. Excited to be here tonight?

Jonas

Uh, yeah. Sure.

Young Hollywood

Uh, is Anaheim gonna win?

Jonas

Oh, yeah. I mean, Is it that a question or not?

Young Hollywood

Give me some coaching strategies you're bringing to the ice.

Michael Rosenbaum

Coaching strategy number one. You gotta get up the ice quickly. So when you're getting to the bench, you just gotta hurl over the bench. You gotta switch and you're over. You don't go over here. You don't This is what losers do. All right? Losers open the door and sit down. Four minutes left, they're kinda blowing it now.

Young Hollywood

Sheldon. What do you think about tonight's game?

Sheldon

Oh, it's been a hard fought battle here. Uh, guys really working hard. Trying to compete out there. It's been tough.

Young Hollywood

What do you think about it?

Sheldon

I'm I'm freaking starving right now. I I could use a sandwich. All right, let's go. What are we doing here?

Young Hollywood

This gonna be your first win of the season, coach.

Michael Rosenbaum

First win of the season, it sure is.

Young Hollywood

How's it feel?

Michael Rosenbaum

Feels good, you know. We need this with with the lock out and everything, this is real. We play through it. We Gotta work hard tonight. Players work hard. Uh except this guy right here, Williams. He didn't work that hard.

Young Hollywood

Why are you not out on that ice right now?

Williams

Um, still not quite at 100%. Uh, I got some uh I got some work to do. Um but obviously it's just great to be part of here part of this and being on the bench with the guys and still enjoy the the game here.

Young Hollywood

So are you coaching them at all with Kevin and Michael or are you just standing in the background?

Williams

Uh, I'm just kinda making fun of guys that mess up and uh Kevin's kinda taking a little too serious I think. He's yelling at guys when they make a make a mistake and he's really kinda trying to draw up game plans. So uh it's it's a lot of fun though, we're having a good time.

Young Hollywood

We are crashing the locker room. Let's go. So you guys have had some uh downtime in the hockey season. Are you picking up any new hobbies? You're like, "Whoa, I'm good at this."

L.A. Kings Skate For

Uh, playing a lot of golf. That's about it. We're in Southern California, what else are you gonna do? Um, golf and surfing. That's about it.

L.A. Kings Skate For

I'm playing a little more golf and and doing a lot more fathering.

L.A. Kings Skate For

Golf a lot.

L.A. Kings Skate For

I play a lot of golf and well I went to Ireland uh for about a week, played some golf over there.

Young Hollywood

Are you playing golf, too?

L.A. Kings Skate For

It's an addiction. It's better than some other things like a street drug or something like that. I have a golf addiction. I you know what? I've been having so much fun lately that I'm almost tired of having so much fun. I'm ready to go back and play hockey. I have two young kids that fortunately um the lock out has has allowed me to stay home a little bit more and and and hang with them and watch them grow up a little bit more than I would have otherwise, but it's keeps going on here. I'm gonna have to learn an instrument. Maybe the guitar or something.

Young Hollywood

So what's it like uh a duck playing amongst some kings?

L.A. Kings Skate For

It was good. It was fun. You know what? It's the first time I've ever been clapped for in this building. That's for sure so. That was an upbeat thing.

Young Hollywood

So what'd you do with the cup?

L.A. Kings Skate For

I went back home to my hometown in Canada. Spent some time with her, went golfing. Hung out with my family. Went to the mall, did a signing. Just things that I wasn't able to do last time I went home with it.

Young Hollywood

So you've had some downtime. How has your nutrition, you know, differed now that you're not playing every day?

L.A. Kings Skate For

I think some people have to watch it a little bit more than others. Um obviously you can just tell You can look around the room and see who they are.

Young Hollywood

If you could create your own Subway sandwich, what would be on it?

L.A. Kings Skate For

Um I actually created one today with just salami, and cheese, and lettuce, onions, ranch, and pepper jack cheese. It's pretty solid.

Young Hollywood

What kind of bread you choosing?

L.A. Kings Skate For

Uh, the Urban Cheese Bread. I'm a big fan.

Young Hollywood

Toasted or non-toasted?

L.A. Kings Skate For

Oh, toasted today. I went I went outside. I normally toast, but that was a big decision today.

Young Hollywood

And if you could name that sandwich, what name you giving it?

L.A. Kings Skate For

Oh, what would you name it? With all those ingredients. I think that's called the Epic Sandwich.

Young Hollywood

I love it. Let's do it. We'll work with that. We'll send that into Subway. Maybe you can get me a sponsorship. I don't exactly have a paycheck coming in right now. Subway. Eat fresh.

L.A. Kings Skate For

Maybe turkey and ham and uh on a foot long on white.

Young Hollywood

And would you give it a name if you could, you know, name your own sandwich?

L.A. Kings Skate For

The the number one? I'm not sure about creating my own, but I'd probably just go with the classic Italian. I'd say it's uh double meat. That's usually pretty good for me.

L.A. Kings Skate For

Probably the Subway Melt. I I'm just a I'm pretty uh easy easy simple guy to work with. Just give me something quick and fast.

Young Hollywood

We'll break that melt down. What's on it?

L.A. Kings Skate For

Uh turkey, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard.

L.A. Kings Skate For

The chicken pizzola, which I don't know if they do down here, but it's a Canadian one. Yeah, yeah, it's a Subway one. It's chicken and pepperoni with a little marinara sauce and you're good to go.

Young Hollywood

How did it feel to get on the ice and have fun and it wasn't so stressful? You didn't have to win.

L.A. Kings Skate For

Yeah, but the thing was I haven't played a game in so long. I was actually kinda nervous coming into into the game which was weird, but it was really fun. It was good to just really good to get out there and get it with the guys and and no matter what team you're from or whatever, it's just fun to get around the guys again and feel like you're part of a team, but it was really fun playing with Shane. We haven't played together in a long time and he set me up for a goal tonight which was nice, so it was nice to hear O'Brien Richardson from O'Brien, you know, you don't hear that very often so it was really good.

L.A. Kings Skate For
