Listen, let me tell you the reason for the pink. Like this year when we started our tour we for the month of breast cancer awareness in October. We played one game with the all pink jersey and shorts. But during the year we're going to use these two, the pink balls to represent breast cancer for the whole five months. For 270 games during our US You Write The Rules tour, we're going to have the ball. So not just in October when it's breast cancer awareness month, we're going to make this our breast cancer awareness tour. The whole tour, not just the one month. So that's the reason we have the pink.

You look good in it. Look way better than I ever will. So you mentioned the tour. Tell me about this upcoming world tour you've been going on.

The 2013 tour is called You Write The Rules and what happens is the fans have opportunities to go onto the internet at the Harlem Globetrotters website which is Harlemtrotters. com. Um before we get to their city they can go on and there's a bunch of different options as far as the rules um throughout the game and after each quarter or before each quarter we'll actually have probably the official go out and open up the envelope and see what the fans selected for that particular city. So, um anything can happen in the game and the fans decide on what they want to see. We have a lot of options. It could be six on five, two basketballs. If they pick two basketball, that's why we're going to put two pink basketballs out there. Um you could four point shot, um double the points. There's a lot of stuff you can um pick with us but you got to go to Harlemtrotters. com to see what exactly you can pick.

I say a rule should be you guys need to do one game in like a Harlem Globetrotter speedo. All of you.

We know the Globetrotters have been around for 87 years. We have family entity, you know? And I don't even wear a speedo when I swim. So I don't think that Yeah, I don't think I want to see myself in the speedo. I wear basketball shorts in the swimming pool so.

Well, tell me how you became a part of this amazing organization of basketball.

Me, I have everybody have their own story. For me personally, I was from New Orleans, Louisiana and I was um affected by Hurricane Katrina. And I evacuated to Houston, Texas. And the Globetrotters as we do always, they were doing a charity event for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. And the owner at the time, you know, contacted me and asked me did I want to work out with the team. And it was good for me just to go and work out. It was something to get my mind off the tragedy that happened to me and my family. And he offered me a spot on the team and I've been with them ever since. And I've been voted the best looking player eight years. And you can see why.

Um well, for myself, the way I became a part of this team, I just have to ignore him sometimes. Um back in 1998, I won the college slam dunk contest at the Final Four down in uh San Antonio and the Globetrotter actually recognized me for that. But I've been to a Globetrotter the Globetrotter's video taping and then I got invited to training camp and I mean, here I am now. I've been to just over 90 countries around the world. I'm had a lot of teammates. I've been to pretty much every state in the United States of America and um here I am now. I mean, I mean, it's just a great organization. I mean, we even just recently signed the first woman that we've had on our team in 20 years. And we actually got two women on our team going to be on the court this year.
