What's up guys? Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood back at Dodger Stadium and I am with our boys in blue at BP moments before they take on the St. Louis Cardinals. Talk about a big game, big crowd, sold out. How cool is it to have these fans rallying behind you every night?

Guest

Uh, it's unbelievable. LA has been a great place to play all my all my career here and they always show up and figure out a way to get us in this game and uh, you know, it's great having them uh, you know, be here every night, especially in the playoffs and uh, you know, help us especially this time of year when we've already had a six months, seven months season and they keep us going and uh, keep our energy out there. Second guest: Uh, it's just exciting. You know, every time we come here um to play the Dodgers, they're big games and uh, the crowd makes it fun and you know, obviously being in the postseason is uh, we're lucky to be here and uh, just try to make the most of it.

Young Hollywood

All right, so tell me, playoff atmosphere. How's it different than regular season?

Guest

Well, there's just a lot more on the line. Uh, the intensity's amped up, the crowd's into it a lot more. Um, I think just the stakes are higher and and uh, and you can feel it. Third guest: You can't get any more excited than you than this town is now for for this team. Everybody supported the team all year, uh, great attendance and uh, you know, great team. Hope they uh, get it in gear and get it moving.

Young Hollywood

And I can tell who you're rooting for here. Third guest: Absolutely. Been like this since I was a kid and they were in Brooklyn.

Young Hollywood

Tell me something no one knows you do before game, at night, something.

Guest

Um, it might be a little it might be a little weird yeah. I make shirts like this. Eliminate for sale. Um, 16 cents, baby.

Young Hollywood

Talk about the postseason. Any rituals, superstitions you have going into game day?

Guest

Uh, not really. You just gotta try and treat it the same and um, you know, over everything, uh, just try to enjoy it because these these moments don't come very often and you never know when it's gonna be your last. So just, uh, trying to enjoy everything. Third guest: Kersh, he's gonna win his third Sai Young, I'm sure, MVP. He's killing it this season. He just did.

Guest

Well, when you're on another planet and uh, you're doing the things that he's doing, he deserves both those things, Sai Young and MVP and uh, I hope the writers uh, saw it and I'm sure all the fans in baseball saw it and uh, he's he's just on another planet, man and uh, you know, God's blessed him.

Young Hollywood

Okay, so take me back. Is there a moment you're like, oh, I wish I could relive that again because it was that special? Third guest: Well, when we won the World Series in 2011. I mean that's a that's quite a moment. So hopefully we'll get a chance to relive uh, a moment like that.

Young Hollywood

Which guy in the clubhouse do you just want to avoid during the playoffs? Like they're just so intense, just gotta stay away.

Guest

Ooh, uh, it's gotta be Zack Greinke. Uh, he's locked in. He's locked in early this season and when the playoffs uh, I haven't even seen him the last week and I know he's pitching tonight and uh, probably the first time I've seen him was when he was walking out on the mound. He's just uh, in a hole somewhere studying uh, studying the opposing teams uh, hitting charts and then getting ready for this big night.

Young Hollywood

Any eye contact or not allowed?

Guest

I do. I do it just to mess with him. Second guest: Oh, you know, we're a pretty close team. I think the one guy that everyone tries to uh, keep their distance from is is Kersh when he on the day he pitches because uh, he just gets into that that beast mode, that mentality where, you know, it's all focus. Uh, no fooling around. I don't even know if he smiles on the days he pitches. So he's he's the one guy you try to stay away from.

Guest

You know, I try to stay away from Scott Van Slyke. Um, you know, he uh, he's his his routine is he doesn't shower in the playoffs. And so um, he thinks it's good luck to to stay dirty the whole time. So I try to stay away from him at all times.

Young Hollywood

Now, I have to ask you, give me a quote that you live by. Something you think about all the time, maybe it's hanging on your wall. Something that kinda hits home.

Guest

Well, it's a quote that to my college coach, uh, Rod Dato from USC. Never make the same mistake once.

Young Hollywood

Okay, and one more question. Give me an inspirational quote. Something you live by that just carries you all the time.

Guest

Uh, bend, don't break. It's the biggest thing. You can bend but don't break.

Young Hollywood

It's game time. I'm ready to go.
