Another year, another season with the Dodgers. Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood. Of course, I am at Dodger Stadium. It is the opening series. And I have all the guys for you. It's time for Dodger baseball.

Some new guys, how's it looking for the season?

No good. We like our club, we like the mix of guys we have. It's early, obviously, but at this point everything's going good.

How's it feel to be back?

It feels great. I know once the season gets going, all the adrenaline, all that all the good things kick in and uh, you know, it's baseball again.

Can we talk about the new baby? How's the new baby?

The baby's good. The baby's good. Keeping me young.

So, I have to ask, righty or lefty?

I don't know. I think he's maybe a lefty though. Got thick ankles though, so I don't think he's going to be able to run.

Officially starting with the Dodgers this season. You love it?

Yeah, yeah. We uh started out with a W yesterday and that's uh, it's always a good thing to get the first one out of the way and I think we're in for a fun season.

Last year, you were just, you know, some guy showing up in the clubhouse. Now, you're looking at almost Rookie of the Year.

Huh, we've played one game, so uh,

But there was buzz before. You love Young Hollywood, don't?

I do. Young Hollywood is not about age. It's about attitude. I'm definitely have a young attitude. I have to. Baseball is a great sport. It's the number one sport in the country and you know, it's uh, it's not not an easy sport to play and luckily enough I got to play and now I'm a coach.

Now, you just finished BP and you just told me you're going into the shower before the game. Really?

Yeah. Everybody has their little routine that they do before the games. You know, I'll go in, I'll eat something. I'll go take like a 20-minute nap, and then go shower and get ready for the game. It's exciting to be here on a everyday basis, you know, being able to play baseball in this place is awesome.

Oh, it's going to be a great year. Just fired up and uh, you know, it's just always great to be back in sunny um, California. This is this place is beautiful. Love being back in LA. It's weather's always amazing and you just feel like it's just a great place to play baseball at all times. So.

This is my first interview at Dodger Stadium in the pouring rain. This is awesome.

You'd say this is pouring rain, you need to come to the Midwest or something like that.

Okay, I have to ask why you're here in LA, but I know why you're here. You guys got a big race coming up.

Yeah, two weeks is uh, the Long Beach Grand Prix. So it's such a historic race. It was a monumental moment in my career when I won in 2010. So hopefully, hopefully we'll be able to do it again.

So Ryan, you're throwing out the first pitch, but it's been raining for two hours now. We might just sit here and talk all night.

Well, we don't know what to expect. I really want to throw out that first pitch though. I just got my arm all warmed up with Maguire back there in the bullpen, so, looking forward to it. We're good for one of these every year, um, but it's uh, you know, a nice little change up from the beautiful sunny weather we get in Southern California all year and uh, I think all those, you know, Los Angeles folks, it's a good time for them to actually put that rain coat they have to good use 'cause they like to wear it but it doesn't get much use.

Well, I know you're not a baseball player, but I've been asking baseball players, #baseballplayerproblems. Like a problem only a baseball player would have. What do you think a funny answer would be to that?

Uh, ran out of sunflower seeds. Not getting the right food in the clubhouse to eat before a game. Shoots aren't tucked in so nice on the road. Sometimes you just want to be pizza and they only have grilled chicken. The weather. Or when you're flying on your private plane and, you know, just the food just a little too salty. Doing on field interviews after batting practice. You know, all the attention we get from, you know, women, that's just not fun. Our superstition, everybody has their superstitions. I mean, that's our biggest problem. You know, if we don't have like a specific pair of socks. Eating the same food every night before a game. There's maybe a shirt, wearing the same underwear everyday, that that that would be a problem because that's sort of psychotic. So things like that are just fairly big, you know, #baseballplayerproblems.

Dodger fans love you, they love the team. People come in really close to get selfies, right? I mean, any really odd encounter with someone trying to take a selfie of you?

Selfie's kind of weird to me, but.

Does it get annoying? Do they get too close? They have bad breath? Any odd experience?

All three. When you take a selfie and you're done and they go like, "Oh, it didn't come out right," you're like, "Well," I don't mind selfies. I think they're pretty cool. I know me and Gonzo take selfies everyday with each other.

May I take an opening series selfie with you? It'd be my honor.
