What's up, guys? Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood. I have been at Dodger Stadium all week prepping for tonight. It is game one of the NLDS, the New York Mets versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. And from the dugout to the clubhouse, to the field, I am bringing you all the action.

Now, talk about New York versus L. A. It doesn't get any better than that. Yeah, East Coast, West Coast. But uh, yeah, um, um, got two historical teams playing against each other. Um, both trying to do the same thing and this is both the first hurdle for uh, both teams. So uh, hopefully, you know, we, we cross the hurdle and and you know, overcome. Yeah, it's going to be fun. Both sides, you know, it's uh, that's what I was saying. Selfishly, I'm, I'm excited that it's going to be a little cooler in New York so I don't sweat. But um, no, it's going to be fun. It's both atmospheres are going to be crazy. Um, and uh, just ready to get started. Yeah, we know what uh, you know, if you play baseball, you know what it means, uh, you know, for the, for the New York teams, for, you know, Mets, Yankees, you know what it means for the L. A. teams also, you know, the West Coast teams. So, uh, you know, two big cities, two big uh, East-West rivalries, uh, going head-to-head right off the, right off the bat and uh, there's a lot of bragging rights for uh, you know, a lot of people uh, you know, who uh, I guess are cross between the two cities. So it's one where uh, I know a lot of people will be interested in it and uh, you know, hopefully uh, your L. A. side will come through to cheer for us.

First, you got a team like the Dodgers that started in Brooklyn that have relocated here to New York. So you still have a large fan base of Dodger fans in New York. So that's going to be big for not only them, but when they come to New York, obviously, you have a lot of people that are from New York that have relocated to L. A. like yourself. So it's going to be a mixture of both sides. The fact that we both wear blue, you're not necessarily going to know who's going to be cheering for who, but that makes it a lot of fun.

Well, I'm sure you're going to have a ton of fans here. The stadium might be divided. I hope so. I would definitely love to see the fan base continue to come out like they've been doing all season long. They've been absolutely amazing, coming to long-distance flights, like San Francisco, like San Diego, and hopefully here in L. A. , to show their blue and orange pride, to show that they love Queens and they love the Mets.

Okay, let me just be straight up with you. I grew up a Mets fan. I'm from New York, but I live in L. A. Go Dodgers. House divided.

Yeah, you know, I think there was actually somebody in the elevator uh, the hotel today that was kind of the same way, so I think there's a lot of people in that boat. It's going to be a pretty epic matchup on the field and in the stands. It's going to be pretty split. Yeah, it'll be fun to watch, for sure. Um, it'll be a really good series to be a part of, so, yeah.

That talk about your clubhouse at Citi Field. Obviously, it's a little bigger than this, probably a bit nicer. How's the clubhouse atmosphere? Give me some secrets that maybe we don't know about.

Um, you know, a little bit bigger like you said, but they've done a good job here at Dodger Stadium from what I've heard in terms of the uh, upgrades and, um, changes that they've made over the past. I only got a chance to see the old locker room, I think once or twice. So I don't really know it 100%. But this isn't bad at all. Uh, I enjoy coming here to Dodger Stadium. The food's good, which is big for me. You know, we've been having uh, our two chefs, these two, two ladies, Joyce and Molly, um, have been messing around with some uh, healthier option breakfast foods like pancakes and and French toast and stuff like that. And it's uh,

Wait, that's healthy?

Yeah, they well anytime you, anytime you put gluten-free in front of it or something like that, it's considered healthy, I think.

I'm gluten-free, perfect. I, I, I'll stay.

Okay. Food room's pretty popular to hang out in. Um, you know, we, I think we have the best cooks in the league by far. Um, so.

Well, actually Andrew E. thinks the Dodgers are the best chef, so, you know.

Yeah, I'm not sure. But, uh, no, I'd like to think that they are and and they're a lot of fun too, so a lot of us hanging out in there.

Well, the Dodgers clubhouse is pretty loose, you know, you'll see guys riding little scooters around, um, um, just hanging out. No, there's no music right now, but, uh, you know, guys getting massages, eating. Just a lot of, just a lot of, you know, we just try to be laid back and not try to put too much stress on ourselves. All right, let's talk about fun for a second. We're in the clubhouse. Tell me some stuff that goes on here that most people don't get to see.

I don't think you want me to tell you that. What happens in here stays in here for a reason and I would rather not share it.

So what makes the playoffs different than the regular season? I know you got to treat it the same, but you got to have a little mental clarity here.

You're playing for the, you're playing for everything, you know. You're trying to get to the World Series and uh, you know, whatever's left in the tank, you got to, you got to, you know, use it. So finding that extra little energy you have, extra little fuel and just trying to uh, you know, make that push as hard as you can.

When you were a kid, this is what you dreamed of and now you're here. Do you ever go back and think, man, I got to pinch myself?

Yeah, I mean, there's always those moments, you know, I'm sure, you know, running out to the foul line, getting introduced and you know, that kind of stuff and seeing the, you know, 50,000 people there screaming and then, you know, running out for the first pitch on Monday in a Rockus Stadium in New York. It's going to be, it's going to be pretty exciting, but then you have to kind of, you know, lock it back in and realize what you're here to do and um, you know, get after it. Yeah, I don't think you'd do anything differently. That that's the key about the postseason is you really got to treat it like it's another game. You have the same um, routine, the same uh, regimen that you do every day and then you go out and you play the game that you've played 162 times this year.

Yeah, but you got to get the yips sometimes, you know? Get a little excited and nervous. How do you kind of stay focused and put blinders on?

Well, you got to first realize that you're going to have that. You're going to have the butterflies. It's just natural, it's going to happen. Everybody in the stadium's going to have it, including the fans. So, but I think once that first pitch goes and once the game starts flowing, the nerves are kind of just tend to disappear.

Is there some special lucky charm in there, statue?

Um, I don't know. We'll look. I don't even know what's up here. Oh, I got a, I got a Hello Kitty. There you go. There's my pseudo lucky charm that I just found.

You have your song you come out to. Tell me the song, how you picked it and does the crowd love it or they itching for a change?

I got two songs, actually. I well, I'm, I'm doing three songs right now. Sorry. It's a lot of a lot of time commitment and process of picking your at-bat song because one, you need to pick a song that's clean for all the 40 to 50,000 fans that are in attendance that includes old and young, male and female. You need to pick something that no one else is doing. That's the tough part. My number one all year has been Smashing Pumpkins uh, Zero. Um, I mean if you grew up in the 90s, watching MTV, Smashing Pumpkins was on all the ding time and um, that's a classic uh, you know, punk uh, you know, rock fan like that. So had to kind of play homage to, you know, the years growing up uh, watching MTV and then other songs, Offspring Self Esteem uh, which is another classic 90s song, uh, so uh, you know, kind of going through that right now and I've been those uh, you know, playing those all year and um, you know, they served me right. Outkast, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Those have been the songs I've been doing for the majority of the season. We'll keep it rolling through the offseason. Big Rings by Future and Drake, uh, another couple of songs. But I just picked it because it's it's Big Rings. That's what we want.

Speaking of the 90s, do you know who's singing the national anthem tomorrow?

I can tell you that. All for One.

Yeah. Yeah. How about that? I say I, I mean, if you can remember slow dancing with your uh, high school sweetheart, then that's the, that's the song to do. Those are that was the group you're doing it to. Okay, now we have to slow dance. Now now we have to slow dance. Yeah, right? Ready? How does it, does it go this way? By the moon and the stars in the sky. Now I was asking the guys their dance moves. They won, you know, what is their dance move?

You guys got a dance move you want to show the guys?

Well, you know, we're old school, we're 90s. So all our dance moves are from the 90s. So you can never go wrong with the cabbage patch, you know, if you need to. Or we got the Reebok, you know, we used to do that one too when we would win. The Roger Rabbit, deal can, you know, I'm introducing a new twerk, so let's hope they win.

What are the guys bringing in tonight?

Well, you know, it starts with Kershaw, our pitcher and uh, we have to play good defense, pitch well, and get some timely hitting. So we're up against a a tough team in the Mets and uh, but the guys are ready and uh, let's see what happens.

So you just celebrated a birthday. How good of a birthday present would it be if we took this series home?

Well, it would be one of the greatest gifts that I've ever received. Because it's been a long time. Our fans deserve a championship team. A team that has the support of the fans like we have. We're letting them down. We got to win for them. They come every game. They're the greatest fans in all the world. We got to win for them. I used to tell our players, we got to win for not only us, but for the fans. They want a championship team. They want to come here during the World Series.

So what kind of words of wisdom, because you were full of words of wisdom. You are just so spiritual and wonderful. What would you tell the players right now to get them psyched?

I would tell them to play your hearts out. Give it everything that you have. Don't make any errors and you're going to be okay.
