I am here with Heathers. Great to see you. I know you, you flew in from Malaysia. It took you what? 36 hours and six planes to get here.

It was absolutely crazy. I've never heard that many connections in my life. No. I think we're still jet lagged from it but um, yeah it's great to be here and we've been looking forward to this for so long.

But now if you're here in Austin, and I read that it was a dream of yours to actually perform here at South by Southwest.

Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we kind of grew up with our friends band and bands around us always talking about coming over here and they'd experienced it and said it was absolutely amazing. So um, it was always something we wanted to do as well and now we have the chance and it's been everything we thought it would be, crazy and amazing at the same time. So yeah, it's been really fun.

What do what do you think of Texas? Because it's I would imagine so different from where you're from.

Yeah. I mean this is like the quintessential all-American everything's big, the portions are big. You know, the hair is big. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Pretty different. And and the weather is amazing. Well right now anyways. That's a nice change. Yes.

Being at your twins, I mean, there's been, there's been brother-sister bands before and you know, sibling bands before. But how do how are you guys a fresh take on bands that we've seen before?

I don't know, I think we're just when when people hear us or when people see us, and they're like, okay, two girls are going to get up and play now. A lot of the time they think we're gonna sing really sweetly and you know, strum on our guitars and we're not like that at all.

You're not.

No, we bring the energy. We bring power and it's it's yeah.

Do you have like the the the twin connection on stage? Is it like you you kinda know what each other's thinking? Is it is it like that? Is it are you just completely in sync? Cuz I imagine certain bands they put them together and they have to sort of make a way to make it work and figure out. But you two are twins. I mean, does that how does that sort of change your sound?

I think, I think like we know each other so well and like I think we do kinda know like we can kinda look at each other and we're like, alright, I know what you're thinking. Or not not I know what you're thinking, but I know what's going on in your mind kind of. If something's wrong and I need to tell Ellie, but I'm playing guitar. So I can't you know, do a hand signal or a secret message. I'll somehow, you know, she can kind of She'll do, she'll do the look. Yeah, she'll give me the eyes.

And then I can see it in your face, notice to settle in this place. So it's alright not to feel okay. Oh, it's alright not to feel okay.

A year ago we played at a pre-Oscars party in LA and we were like on stage playing and suddenly JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg were standing in the front row watching us play.

So we had one of those moments and it was kind of

And you could see them? Cuz sometimes you can't see who's in the front row, people talk about that.

It's kinda when you that kinda thing where like you're looking making eye contact with the crowd and then you realize you're making eye contact with Steven Spielberg.

Spielberg. Who do you listen to like top 40? Who are who are some of your favorites to listen to?

Okay, well, Beyonce is we're big Beyonce fans, we've kinda mentioned already. Yeah. Lady Gaga as well. I I love her new album. I think it's really really good. Um, Drake. Um, Kendrick Lamar. Uh, Justin Timberlake. We'll just go on.

That feels a bit of a crush happening. You're like maybe, maybe.

Then we are back to Ireland for a week or so and we're doing bits of writing and stuff over there and then back over again. I think we're gonna be in LA and we're booking tour at the moment so we're gonna be over doing a lot of promotion around the album release. So yeah.
