Artist Spotlight: Kate Voegele

YH goes one-on-one with the lovely and {multi} talented Kate Voegele from "One Tree Hill."

"I'm a super informal person, I like to be [up close and personal] with my fans, my friends, or anybody." She told our Michelle Hummel before settling down into an intimate arena at Border's to perform for a packed crowd, who got the chance to see her sing and play guitar.

Kate is an old, or rather young, favorite! YH and Kate go way back like besties. "It's been an amazing ride in the best way since I talked to you last," she says. "I released my first record - and I went on One Tree Hill, it was amazing."

Now we're catching up on her new sound. "This new record is called A Fine Mess for a reason," she reveals. "It's chaotic, but the beauty is in the chaos. It makes it fun. I've really enjoyed the ride a lot."

Her new single, 99 Times, "Is one of my favorite songs on the album," she says. "It's just a fun song to get up and sing."

But it has a less than fun-loving subject. "It's a song about being lied to, about being in a relationship where somebody's unfaithful and you didn't know about it for awhile - and you feel really stupid," she adds.

The plus side to a cheating heart? "Dancing with the Stars" hottie Derek Hough plays her boyfriend in the video! "It was cool," Kate says with a sly smile. Yeah, girl's got it rough!
