What's going on, guys? I'm hanging out here at Billboard's Women in Music and we got to catch up with our favorite Sabrina Carpenter.

Young Hollywood

Oh my god. so good. Can we talk about your dress? You look like a goddess.

Sabrina Carpenter

I feel very Grecian right now.

Young Hollywood

You look like it. It's oh my god, it's beautiful. That color's like your color.

Sabrina Carpenter

Oh, thank you. It's like a Legally Blonde Greek mythology, I don't know something like that.

Young Hollywood

I love it, I love it. So you are a woman in music tonight. What's the most rewarding part about being here?

Sabrina Carpenter

Rewarding part? Just that I've made it to this room. I guess that's that's how you know you're doing something right. I think since I was six years old and I heard like Christina Aguilera singing a Sunday kind of love, I just knew ever since then that I wanted to make music. And you know, to be in this room like Mary J. Blige, like there's so many incredible people that I look up to that are here tonight and um that that keep me want to do what I'm doing and inspire me and keep me wanting to work harder and push myself.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, I agree with that. So, I think being a woman's really fun. What do you think your favorite part about being a woman is?

Sabrina Carpenter

Heck yes. The fact that we can be like, I always use the terms like sweet and sour and like I think it is. It truly is that you know, that that femininity that can hold so much power at the same time. Um and I think it's such a it's it's such a power within itself. Um and our minds, our our minds are so unlike any others that I've ever met. Like when I get to talk to women and actually have like real conversation with them, I'm always just fascinated by, you know, how involved. Um, so I mean obviously they put those those minds to use and they make great music and I love it as well.

Young Hollywood

I love that you said sweet and sour because I've been called a sour patch kid before. Have you heard that? Someone literally just called me that yesterday. Like for the first time ever, but yeah, my new nickname is sour patch kid. I love it. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Okay, last question. How do you think music can heal the world?

Sabrina Carpenter

I don't know how it can't. Um, it's always it's been like a soundtrack to my life. Like constantly, like if it's not there, I feel like something's missing. Um and I think that that's how you know like I wake up in the morning, I want to listen to it. When I'm sad, when I'm happy, no matter if I'm celebrating or I'm grieving, it's just it's always there for me and I know that it it's it's that healing device for a lot of other people too.
