Hey, we're American Authors and you're watching Young Hollywood Backstage Diaries. We came up with our name American Authors because an author doesn't have to be somebody who writes a book, it's somebody who tells a story. And we feel like we tell our stories through our written words and our music. And the American part comes from we're all from different parts of the U. S. and we we cover the four corners. So bringing all those experiences together uh American Authors. For our live show we like to bring as much energy as we can to the stage.

Getting in their face with the microphone, having people sing along, clap along, and even at a lot of shows jumping into the crowd and dancing around with people. My favorite city that we've uh ever performed in was uh I really enjoyed Toronto actually in Canada. And uh it was a really, really uh cool spot and uh people there are super nice and love music. It's fun. If we could have the craziest stage plot of all time, I think we want to go play on the moon. Let's do it. Zero gravity, floating around all over the place. No restrictions. I hear it calling outside my window. I feel it in my soul. The stars were burning so bright the sun was out till midnight. I say we lose control. Control.

If uh I could collaborate with any female vocalist as American Authors, I'd love to work with um probably Ellie Goulding. I think she's so solid and she has a great range, she has great songs. And uh I've been a big fan. For anybody out there who wants to know how to play guitar, mandolin, banjo, one of the best things you can do is buy a metronome. Get a metronome. There's a bunch of free music out on the web. And just sit there and and and just practice slow and and and get faster and faster. Learn your scales. If I could recommend anything to upcoming artists that are hustling and doing their thing, it's keep on hustling, you know. Uh stay humble, stay optimistic. Work hard.
