Sitting here with DJ Khaled, man. That was so inspirational, man. That's so inspirational. And I love your slogans, one-liners, the keys that you're giving out. Right. At Young Hollywood, we have a slogan, we have a key. I want you to dissect it. Tell me what you think about it. And I want your opinion and your stamp of approval. Okay, so it's Young Hollywood. How did you ask Jay-Z when you sat him in the studio and you heard the beat for the first time, what what happened?

Um, you know, I Got the Keys was an amazing record. Me and Future were in the studio. Um, cooking up. We always make a lot of records together. He's a good friend of mine and I love making music with Future. You know, I Got the Keys is something that, you know, when you when when you record on a DJ Khaled album, you know what I'm saying? I try to inspire the artist and motivate the artist to kind of go through things that I'm going through in my life or what I'm saying. Um, but at the same time is that they respect and love too. But from their perspective, so, you know, I Got the Keys, you know, I'm always talking the keys, and Future was a genius. You know what I'm saying? going to the booth and took that energy and like, I Got the Keys, the keys, the keys, the keys. You know what I'm saying? That's what you call collaborating and coming together, making great music, and it's it's reality, it's real. You know what I'm saying? So, we made the um the hook, you know what I'm saying? in the studio. Studio hook, Future. Future came up with it. Yeah. Future came up with the hook. Um, we inspire each other, like, you know when I make my record, especially with Future, we talk our talk, and Future don't write, he just goes in the booth and catch a vibe. So, it's like, you know, the keys was being spoken, and he made a hook called I Got the Keys.

When you sent that beat to Jay-Z, what was his reaction?

I didn't send it. I went to go see Jay-Z. I went to go see Jay-Z. You know what I'm saying? I remember playing the record, and you know, he was over there, and I was right here, and I'm playing it, and the beat come on, you hear the DJ Khaled. Boom. And you know, rap talk, rap talk, and I'm watching him like this from my side, I like, you know, and I'm noticing he's bobbing his head. And then the hook comes in, I Got the Keys, the keys, the keys, so I'm noticing now he's listening to what Future saying on the record. I Got the Keys, the keys. And he noticed saying I Got the Keys, so I could tell he's but now he's bobbing his head like this. You know what I'm saying? He's bobbing his head, and then the after the hook, the beat is just riding out. So it's the empty space for Jay-Z to get on if he agrees to get on. So, the beat is going on, and I hear him mumbling like, you got him, you got him. Yeah, I start I start hearing him like, you know, kind of like saying some bars. And I'm looking like, Oh man, he liked it, bro. So I didn't I just kept it going. And finally when the music cut off, he was like, man, leave that for me. You know what I'm saying? So, we immediately, I immediately took that off my computer, put it in his computer, you know what I'm saying? Save. Safe, safe, safe. I go, I go back to my hotel room. You know what I'm saying? I wake up in the morning, my brother Jigger hits me up and says, You ready? You know what I'm saying? Like he already had it already had I could tell he had it the day I played it for him. Yeah, that's what happens. You know, cuz he don't write, he just Right. He just catches a vibe. So, you know, immediately we got to the record.
