What's up, guys? Leslie Robbins here for Young Hollywood back at Dodger Stadium. But this time on the field, we have ping-pong tables. It is all for Clayton Kershaw and his charity.

Chris Harrison, what are you doing at a ping-pong tournament at Dodger Stadium?

But it's for charity. I'm hosting it. Clayton and Ellen reached out. They're huge bachelor fans, and obviously, uh, he's a local Dallas guy, like I am, and, um, I was honored the fact that they told me they were fans. And he's the greatest pitcher of our generation. So I thought, yeah, it wouldn't be such a bad thing. And and there's going to be like 400 people here today at Dodger Stadium and raising money for Kershaw's Challenge. We have skydivers coming in here in a little bit. 400 people on the field, massive tournament going on. A lot of the Dodgers are here tonight. Josh and Andy from my show are here. Um, Chris Paul, I mean it's it's a huge, huge event.

You love baseball. You're a man who loves the Dodgers though.

You know, my grandmother didn't like tattoos, but if if she would allow me, I would get a huge LA on the side of my head.

Ping-pong in Dodger Stadium, like that's this. Nice. Great fun. Very great event. We're excited to be here.

I'm a little bit confused. I thought I was coming for like Tommy's birthday party or something, but now we're playing ping-pong, so it'll be good. It's fun.

Nick and Nick Jr. , he's got the paddle. Is he playing in there?

Uh, he might try to get out there, but it's mostly going to be me. You know, he might be my good luck charm. I might have to rub his head or something.

Are you ready to play ping-pong?

So, yeah. Yeah.

You got the paddle in your hand. You're ready to play some ping-pong.

I got to do what I got to do, you know. You just uh, you only got one life. I'm here. I'm focused. This is all This is all I live for.

So, how have you prepared to play ping-pong here at Dodger Stadium?

I went to Asia. I went to six countries in Asia and I focused and I only ate rice and uh, tofu and hot dogs for six months.

Take some time out of filming to come to Dodger Stadium to play a little ping-pong.

Yeah, to uh support Clayton Kershaw and his wife and the awesome stuff that they're doing in the world. Everyone's talking about Kershaw. One of the greatest guys in baseball. One of the greatest uh, one of my best friends on the team and, you know, as soon as I heard he had this uh Kershaw's Challenge, I I had to be here.

And then you could win the Cy Young Award again, MVP, that's pretty rockstar.

Ah, yeah, we'll see. We'll start with tonight.

How's your game improved this year if you were that good last year?

Uh, I don't know. I don't think it's probably improved too much.

That man right there. I saw him pitch on Tuesday. He's locked in and it is something that we do have to marvel because um, you know, performances like this, 17 and three and missing a month is rare in sports. We're able to watch something very special. Finishing the year off strong. He's killing it right now. So there's no reason why he shouldn't be considered in the MVP race. He's definitely winning Cy Young. There's a good chance he's going to win a World Series. Um, but no, he's he's one of the greatest pitchers of our generation. And I mean, the guys, and I don't take my word, I when I talk to other players on the team, they're like, this guy is off the charts good. He's unbelievable.

We're here to play some ping-pong. How's your game?

Pretty good. If I can keep the paddle downward, my the the thrust is, you know, people, a lot of people hit it up. You got to hit it, you got to hit it down. You know, below and put spin on it. It only gets complicated when you bring the red solo cup out and you got to try to hit the ball in the cup. Otherwise, it's just a beautiful game. It's between you and me and a few million people. Second guest: Exactly. Once the red solo cup comes on, it's all business.

What's your strategy? How are you gripping the ping-pong paddle?

I I don't know, yeah. We'll just kind of have to see how it goes. It should be a fun night though and looking forward to it.

As a pitcher, you got to show me how you're gripping the ping-pong paddle.

I know some guys like play like this and uh, I think uh, I think Ru plays, I think he actually throws a change up. He holds his something like like this.

How is that grip on the paddle?

I just learned the difference between the pencil grip and the regular grip. So that's not a good sign when you don't know the differences between the grip.

I don't know the difference between either either. So, I just grabbed the paddle and hit it to me. Just like this. Sometimes like once once once in a while like this with the finger. I really haven't done anything to get ready for this. I played uh, probably four games during spring training. I think I lost three of them. So, it's not looking good.

You looked at ping-pong clubs like in Atlanta, just like on a whim thinking maybe.

And there happens to be a ton of ping-pong clubs. Yeah. But we didn't have time to go though. I wish we did. So we got to go practice before everything starts.

I've been practicing a little bit, but I'm just bring my son with me, you know. I have him do a little dance and stuff before we go and come out with a dance ritual before I hit the stage, you know.

Who is your partner?

Chris Paul. Yeah, so, we'll see how it goes.

Well, you got the outfit going. I wore blue for you guys. That's how you're gonna win, right?

I hope so. It can't hurt. My first three years in the NBA, I didn't have a car in my driveway. I had a ping-pong table.

Well, you're partnered with Clayton Kershaw, the best pitcher on the planet right now. It doesn't get much better than that.

It doesn't. It doesn't. It's a lot of pressure on me, you know what I mean? And one of the things that I said is that I don't want to be the reason, you know, for his ERA, you know, coming up with something like that. So for me, I'm just trying to make it number 18, uh, you know, with his 17 wins.

Ethan and I are teaming up. And uh, yeah, Clayton, Clayton and Chris Paul. It's a weak team. There's no athleticism in that team. I mean, I will destroy. I will make them cry like a little girl tonight. I will take them down. What? That just happened. Yeah. Were you look, I'm I'm I'll do respect. We're gonna help the kids, but after that, he's going to cry. Cy Young nothing.

Are you guys going to be partners or what's happening?

We are. We're partners. We're partners. Uh-huh.

How cliche, of course you're partners. Nice test for the uh newly engaged couple here.

That's right.

Oh wait, we gotta see the ring now. I mean, show it off. Okay.

Oh yeah, show that ring. Daddy did good.

Who is your partner tonight? What's your strategy?

Rick Honeycutt. We're both left-handed. I don't think we have a strategy. He's been playing golf all day, so I'm not quite sure what kind of shape he's in.

Maybe you can like bake them brownies or cookies. Kind of sweeten the deal a little bit. That's what I think.

I think that's our really our only chance.

My partner's Greg and uh, the rumor has it, the scout report is that he's pretty good. So, hopefully, uh, we'll be competitive and and we'll play uh, deep into the night.

Charity's the best part. And just being here to support Clayton and Ellen. It's amazing that we can raise this much money for for causes that really need it.

We're here for charity. Yeah. It's a beautiful thing. Always love supporting great causes. It's fun being out here.

Yeah, it's a fun thing to do. We love to support um, everything that he does. He's been he's such a I think um, just a good person. And then not not even counting any of the baseball stuff. The things that they do together and the way he handles himself. Uh, I think makes all of us feel like we're a part of of something great. And so it's nice to come out and support him.

Most athletes don't realize there's something bigger than the game until much later in their career and then they start giving back. The fact that Clayton and Ellen are doing this now, it's it's pretty impressive. It speaks to the kind of people they are.
