Young Hollywood

Welcome to Younghollywood. com. The word G R E E N, right? No, just green. Why did you feel it was important to get involved?

Keke Palmer

The Big Green Help is something that Nickelodeon's been putting on to help raise awareness to kids all over the world to help, you know, have little tiny tips of everyday life things that you can do to be able to help our environment.

Young Hollywood

Today, you're involved in something very cool and very important, which is the Big Green Help.

Keke Palmer

I'm just so excited to be able to get to be like a part of it and everything. I like um recycling and doing stuff like that.

Young Hollywood

What are some simple tips for your fans to know about how they can make a difference?

Keke Palmer

Probably like just turning the light off, I do that or like when you brush your teeth, turning the water off. Just little things like that. Like even when I plug my phone in, um don't let it like charge for a long time after it's already been charging.

Miranda Cosgrove

It's about involving, you know, the youth and getting green activities in their everyday life and just enforcing the importance of helping your environment.

Young Hollywood

And what are some things that you do in your daily routine to sort of help reduce, reuse, recycle?

Miranda Cosgrove

I definitely recycle water bottles. Uh my class at the studio that I work for on the show, my teacher always has a, you know, box for, you know, our water bottles from our finished ones, so she can recycle them as well as paper and things like that. We always try to start off small and then we'll graduate to bigger things.

Young Hollywood

Why is it so important that you got involved with the Big Green Help?

Miranda Cosgrove

Because I like living here and uh personally, I'd like to live here long into my 80s. So in order to live here long into my 80s, I think we all need to start uh doing things to protect the environment.

Young Hollywood

We are here with Victoria Justice, all decked out in her organic gear. Tell us about the ensemble here.

Victoria Justice

This shirt is made out of all organic materials and I love the message. It has a little polar bear on it, the halo on it because you know, with the polarized caps melting, it's very important that, you know, we we care about the polar bears. And I have um some shoes with a peace sign on it. Just promote world peace and, you know, add to the message of saving the environment.

Young Hollywood

Now, the whole shoot today is green.

Victoria Justice

Yeah. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Tell us about that.

Victoria Justice

It's really cool. I I've never been on a set before that's been so well suited to me. Organic clothes, reusable bottles, some organic food on the catering table, organic cleaning products.

Young Hollywood

Lot of celebrities are going green. Do you have a favorite?

Victoria Justice

I love Leonardo DiCaprio, so I'd probably have to say him. He's pretty awesome.

Keke Palmer

Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Probably uh Leonardo DiCaprio, cuz you know after seeing Titanic, who would love him? And, you know, also he's caring, so he's a perfect guy.

Miranda Cosgrove

It looks really good driving his environmentally friendly car. That hybrid looks very good on him. He looks very good in that hybrid, by the way.

Young Hollywood

Just reminding you to be conscious of your environment and make sure that you're thinking about ways that you could save electricity, save water and save on carbon emissions. Bye guys.
