She's a comedian, actress and now fashion designer, Rebel Wilson is debuting her capsule collection with Torrid and it's time to join the Rebelution.

We are debuting Rebel Wilson's capsule collection. Why was she the right girl to do a capsule collection with?

Rebel's perfect. She's our girl to the T. She's a Renaissance woman. She's hilarious. She's uncompromising. She knows what she wants and she goes for it. And it's great representation of the Torrid girl.

And what can we expect?

The collection's really expansive. It goes all the way from the most casual product to very dressy product. So, it's how she lives her life. So, if she just wants to kick back on the weekends, she's got something to wear in it with uh sweatpants and sweatshirts and graphic tees and then if she wants to go out, she's got lace lace dresses and these these great separate pieces that you can put together and wear a lot of different ways.

I heard there's even a nod to her Australian heritage.

There's a little, there's a little uh holler at that. Yeah, we've got Koala bears. We've got Koala bears with microphones for the singing. We've got Prep School influences. So it really speaks to her background and what she wanted to say. So we're thrilled that we could bring it out.

Hi, hi, how are you? I was so I'm gonna, I was gonna ask you, who are you wearing? But that's a little too obvious.

Well, I will tell you because I'm here shamelessly self-promoting my own fashion line. Uh, which is called Rebel Wilson for Torrid. Oh, Rebel for Torrid for sure. Um, Torrid is you guys might know is kind of the coolest plus size fashion brand out there.

As you should be. And now even cooler because you are designing.

Even freaking better with me now designing capsule collections for them.

And you are so humble about it too. Very humble and modest.

I'm really modest. And um

Poor right now.

No. Well, that'll all change after tonight, I think. Yeah. I I mean, yeah, I work on commission from sales. So, um, I have a feeling it's gonna be a very good Christmas for me.

Was there anyone you were inspired by or a designer you kind of looked to as you were designing this collection?

Yeah. I have a friend called Jeremy Scott, who's a really cool designer. Um, designs for Moschino now and um he he kind of does a lot of urban wear and a lot of rappers wear his stuff. Um

Totally up your alley, actually. Because that's kinda your thing.

Yeah. And um, so I really like his his style and how he goes for it. And I have a real gangster kind of urban flare and when I was younger straight from the streets. Yeah. I mean straight from the streets of Western Sydney. Totally. I hail from. Yeah, yeah. But when I was younger, I used to like kinda cool street wear. And um, and that's kind of influenced a lot of the pieces in the collection. Yeah.

And you have another one coming out as well early next year.

The second collection I've already designed and that's coming out in February. Um, and I'm it's it's just really, really exciting to actually like design clothes and it's taken a year to get to this point, but I really push to get like the most high quality fabrics I could, but still keep it at an affordable price for all the chicks out there.
