Germany's Hottest Band: Tokio Hotel

I'm Oliver Travina here with Young Hollywood. We are here with Tokyo Hotel for their concert at the Hollywood and Highland. The fans are insane over here. They're all crazy and we're about to see the band backstage downstairs now. I'm with Bill, Tom, George and Gustav from Tokyo Hotel. Tell us a bit about the band.

I wrote my own songs with Tom together. We played at weddings and school parties and we met eight years ago in a club in our hometown. Rock VMA's best video, top new artist. We have no words for it to describe it. I mean, we are a German band and our success started three years ago. We've just started in the in to be nominated this as we said it's a big deal for.

Who are your influences growing up?

My parents listen a lot to Rolling Stones and the Beatles and stuff like that. I grew up with Eric Clapton and Metallica and all that. I watched Baywatch too, trust me I love it. We like David Bowie and Coldplay. I listen a lot to German hip hop music, but um, I still like it.

I had a little mention of the role model being Hugh Hefner. Any plans to visit the Playboy mansion while you're here?

No, we have no plans, but I think it would be great. We all want to see the Playboy Mansion, you know. More like a dream. We want to have some fun.

You're a band. We all know about the parties that go on after.

You know, I had a lot of crazy times, especially with girls, you know, in hotel rooms and stuff like that. You don't want to hear, it's too dirty.

I can tell where his head's at. Hugh Hefner, Playboy Mansion. Yeah. Well, good luck lads. Absolutely amazing. And go kick it out there.

Hey, we are Tokyo. And this is Young Hollywood.
