NFL Football is Back, with a Potential NFC Championship Preview Tonight!

The day is finally here!

The start of the NFL season is tonight, with a matchup that is sure to please the common fan: Packers versus Saints. For those unaware, there is an NFC Championship-caliber game tonight between Green Bay and New Orleans. With two prestigious franchises that have previously won the past two Super Bowls facing off, what could be a better match-up to start off the season? I’m sure that I am speaking for the majority of Americans out there when I say, thank goodness this day has finally come. With the NFL Lockout behind us, it’s time to sit back and enjoy another unpredictable and exciting NFL Season. With so many trades in the off-season, it’s sure to be a fun one to watch and be a part of.

Things started off with a bang this morning at the Packers home home turf, Lambeau Field, in Wisconsin as fans started getting ready for the triple-headliner concert that went on this afternoon, including Lady Antebellum, Kid Rock and Marooon 5. That was, of course, just the pre-game festivities for the NFC heavyweight match-up tonight. The game itself is sure to be high-scoring, with both offenses looking revamped after an injury-plagued year for both teams. On the Packers sideline, their star TE Jermichael Finley is back and healthy, while the addition of three newly-drafted rookies into the lineup will also aid in the long run (Derek Sherrod OT, Randall Cobb WR, Alex Green RB). Additionally, the Saints have something of a three-headed monster in their running attack this season with the addition of Darren Sproles, newly-drafted Alabama running back Mark Ingram, as well as Pierre Thomas. Defensively, the Packers are slightly more equipped, only having lost Nick Barnett and Cullen Jenkins while still having the majority of their Super Bowl-caliber defense.

In all honesty, I can’t think of a better game to open the NFL season with than the Packers/Saints match-up. Both teams are healthy and ready to give the fans a show. However, it will take a serious effort on the Saints' part to take down Green Bay along with blemishing Aaron Rodgers’s famed heavyweight belt. As Terrell Owens would say: “Get your popcorn ready.” This holds true in every way tonight, because the game itself is guaranteed to be nonstop action from start to finish.

Before the game starts, though, be sure to check out these Young Hollywood exclusive interviews with Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings, and Sean Payton!
