Walking down Santa Monica Boulevard I encounter a homeless man on the street loudly proclaiming that he used to work at a car dealership, until he stole the boss's Mercedes. Suddenly some other homeless guy comes out of nowhere and starts yelling something inaudible - and then both homeless guys begin to argue in non sequiturs. Jeremy Piven comes to mind; those two obviously need to HUG IT OUT. Good old catch phrases. They always get you through. †A lot of people try to spew something epic, but creating a dyno-myte!ù slogan takes (besides a good writer, obviously) an actor who can really deliver by selling it to the masses. Jeremy is one of those actors. He sticks with you, even during random transient street fights. †Obviously he's stuck with critics and his peers as well, winning several gold statues for his performance as Ari Hug It Outù Gold. He received Emmy nominations for best supporting actor three straight years in a row, winning in 2006 and 2007. †Perhaps he has a bit of an unfair advantage. Acting is in his blood. As a kid, he grew up outside of Chicago and studied at Piven Theatre Workshop, which was founded by none other than his parents! Natch, both mom and dad were actors and taught drama as well. †Beyond stage and television, Jeremy is a master of the big screen as well (more recently appearing in The Kingdom with Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner). In fact one of my top ten favorite movies of all time is another film of his, called Very Bad Things. If you haven't seen it, first of all three slaps with a wet noodle and secondly go rent it. It's sick, sad and wrong - also hilariously brilliant. †Disturbingly funny, masterfully talented and sticking to your brain like taffy, Jeremy Piven stands out from the entourage. †Word. -Wes
