GOAL!!! EA Releases FIFA Soccer 12!

It has finally arrived -- the day when American soccer lovers (and football lovers worldwide) can play FIFA 12.

Well, almost... The free demo of FIFA 12 is available today! Check it out here.  EA Sports is releasing its 20th title in their FIFA series of video games today, September 27, in North America, and on September 30 in the rest of the world. The game demo will give fans an idea about what’s in store for FIFA 12.

With little tidbits of information released over the past few weeks, our excitement has been growing. Expectations are high for this new release, but FIFA 12 will not disappoint. It has already won 20 awards for best sports game of E3! FIFA 11 gained the title of best-selling and highest rated sports game, and FIFA 10 won 50 sports game of the year awards.

FIFA 12 has a new feature called Pro Player Intelligence. With this, “players have been infused with self-awareness and aptitude, enabling them to make decisions based on their own skills as well as the strengths and attributes of their teammates.” Players can also receive true injuries where The Player Impact Engine registers the contact between players and the force of the crash. Gamers then have to decide whether it’s safe to allow an injured player to stay in the game or keep them on the sidelines. There are also new commentary teams this time around, including Martin Tyler and Alan Smith as one, and Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend as the second.

The soundtrack for FIFA 12 includes 39 artists from 15 countries. Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing at EA said, “We want to bring the world closer together by uniting the global cultures of soccer and music.” It includes artists such as the Ting Tings, CSS, Kasabian, and Foster the People along with international artists The Medics from Australia, Bloco Bleque from Brazil, The Vaccines from England, Little Dragon from Sweden, and much much more.

And guests who come through the Young Hollywood Studio this month will be receiving a FIFA 12 EA VIP kit, which includes Beats by Dre headphones, a custom FIFA branded PSP, FIFA 12 on PS3, and a gold painted EA branded soccer ball!

FIFA 12 can be preordered on the Website, so what are you waiting for?
