Taylor Swift performs live

Heartbreak is so hard, you guys.

While breaking up may be hard to do, the soundtrack of life provides the best revenge: The get-over-him song.

"Picture to Burn" by Taylor Swift

Taylor perfectly bitch slaps her red neck ex by insulting everything from his pickup to his sexuality, eventually burning his photos as the title indicates. If you break up with this gal, change your name and move to another state!

"Shark In The Water" by VV Brown

This song because it perfectly captures the moment when the relationship turns sour. Suddenly VV is wiser and better than this guy. The title refers to anxiety, as she told Digital Spy: "I guess I'm trying to create a new phrase. When something's not quite right or there's some kind of a problem, you might say, 'Maybe there's a shark in the water.'" If there's a shark in the water, honey you betta get out the water!

"So What" by P!nk

Assaulting the ex with attitude, this is my girl (and YH editor) Katie Marzullo's fave breakup song. Turn a case of the sads into aggression and go kick that punk's ass. Figuratively of course.

"Believe" by Cher

More than a breakup song, this is an anthem for the comeback kid. "I know that I'll get through this / 'Cause I know that I am strong."

"Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson

Sometimes we compromise ourselves in relationships without even knowing it. When they're gone, we come back to rediscover we're a better person without them.

"I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

No other song surmises getting over a situation than saying "Now go, walk out the door... you're not welcome here anymore." The end, goodbye, we're done here; that's all.
