| Fresh on the Screen: T.I. Goes Beyond the Paper Trail |
|
Some people just have it all going for them, to a crazy out of this world degree. It's like T.I. wasn't just satisfied being one of the most successful MCs of the new millennium. Aside from slinging his own mad lyrics, T.I. has served as a producer for huge names in the music biz like Mariah Carey and rappers such as Cassidy and Rick Ross. Oh, did I mention? He now has his own record label, where he's executive producing and promoting new acts like Young Dro. He also executive produced the soundtrack to Hustle & Flow. Natch, he jumped into the movie biz(American Gangster) and is working to elevate his screen status - by launching his own film studio! Just regular old moviestardom is so very common, innit? T.I.'s owning it. Danny Glover is attached to the studio's first project, Once Was Lost. He's also said to be producing a new reality show called Life on Mars. The series will follow the ghetto fabulous adventures of musical prodigy LaMar MARS Edwards. You can't blame others for their success. At least, that's what my therapist tells me. TRIVIA: Did you know? T.I. was nicknamed Tip after his great-grandfather, which would have been his stage name. He shortened it out of respect for fellow rapper Q-Tip. Burning up the charts and getting his mogul on in television and film, T.I. is What's Hot! Word. Who do you love? This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
