Intellectual sound masters meet classically trained musicians. Dude, that's deep.

Music can be like a space odyssey. You never know where the groovy cosmos is going to take you. Listening to music by Flobots is like that journey to the great beyond. It's sort of out there.

Vocally, emcees Jonny 5 and Brer Rabbit deliver spoken-word and hardcore rap infused with the sounds of classically trained violist Mackenzie Roberts, guitarist Andy Guerrero, bassist Jesse Walker, jazz trumpet player Joe Ferrone and drummer Kenny Ortiz.

It's quite a mix. The result is a groundbreaking combination of classical, progressive and hip-hop music with a message.

The group continues to explore and expand the frontier of hip-hop in their live shows, playing venues relentlessly and opening for acts like Public Enemy, The Coup, Lyrics Born, and Immortal Technique. They regularly sell out Colorado venues and are quickly developing a following across the country with their hit Handlebars.

Even notoriously harsh YouTube critics give the video an overwhelming positive review. ...listen to the words, says one commenter, and you realize this song makes a brilliant statement about power, corruption, and our future.

I told you, deep.

Flobots are on tour throughout the summer - their album Fight with Tools is out now.

Word.
