Play it one more time, with feeling; Boys Like Girls rock out with their hearts out. I like to listen to music that makes me feel a certain way - either it reminds me of something important that happened or a certain time in my life, Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson says. If kids are feeling that way about our songs, I couldn't ask for anything more. This one is for the lovers. Boys Like Girls, as the name poetically implies, is a band about relationships, love and heartbreak. The Boys have been banging it out since high school, where Martin, John Keefe (drums), Bryan Donahue (bass) and Paul DiGiovanni (lead guitar) came together after playing with various bands to form BLG. A modern day discovery, the group took the new school route to becoming rock stars. The internet! The industry was listening, they got signed up to a label, made an album and now they're on tour. That's the story of four Emo rockers who found fame via the internet. The End. Oh, wait. That's just the beginning. The album, out now, tells a tale of youth, love, adventure, loss and heartbreak. You can hear a little story within the track listing, Martin says. It starts off with this song that's about moving on and getting out of town, 'The Great Escape,' and goes through to 'Holiday' which is about asking who I am and starting over. It's basically a couple of years in my life. Energetic, emotional and real - that's What's Hot!
