Eight Great Tips for Fabulous Hollywood Hair

Underneath her famous Hannah Montana wig, Miley Cyrus keeps a wrap on one of Hollywood's best kept coifs. Celebrity stylists like Oliver Ifergan have given me the secrets you need to know to be a fabulous head case like Miley.

1. Just Keep Trimming: Heat and cold damage and split your ends, so make sure to keep your visits to the stylist on the regular.

2. Cover Up: Hide that hair from the elements, girlfriend! Its common sense to tip the under a hat when it's windy, rainy or other-ey. Just remember to do the same when you're out under the sun.

3. Shampoo Less, Condition More: To retain moisture throughout the hot summer days, wash less often and use conditioner in-between.

4. Go Straight To Wavy: For an easy, breezy 'do, braid your hair while its wet and let air dry. Then unfurl and you'll be left with big, soft waves.

5. Be Gentle: Use moisturizing shampoo and conditioners, avoiding harsh dandruff products. If you have dry scalp, see a dermatologist.

6. Mask It: Sometimes a little dab just won't do. If you have heat damaged or super dry hair, apply deep conditioner or a hair mask and wrap a shower cap just before bedtime.

7. Become a Product Junkie: I'm always trying new stuff, so here are some recent recommendations! For deep conditioning, try Neil George Hair Mask, or for daily conditioner use Rebecca Bacon Pre-Fixer. RB also has a new product called Beach Bag Elixir to give your hair texture and volume for that just back from the beach look.

8. Tool Time: Don't be left with damaged goods. Solano Hair Dryers, while a bit on the expensive side, are built to last. See other top-rated splurge items here
