Celebrity Greeting & Gift Cards

Proceeds on all sales of the cards go to specific charities, thereby allowing a fan to pick up their favorite celebrity's specially designed card and give to a worthwhile cause. It is a win-win situation! The organization, Cards with a Heart, is well known for printing cards that help nonprofit organizations create awareness while raising funds, and they have recently collaborated with the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF) to create a line of celebrity designed cards. The proceeds from the sale of the cards go directly toward raising awareness and research programs that are working on a cure for EB, a rare and debilitating children's disease that causes the skin to tear and blister at the slightest touch from someone or something. The executive vice president of the EBMRF, Andrea Pett-Joseph, has a 3 year old son with the disease, so this is a cause close to her heart. Andrea has also been working in the entertainment business for years as a high powered agent and was able to get several A-list personalities, such as Reese Witherspoon, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Pete Sampras, and Bridgette Wilson-Sampras to participate. The cards range from a pirate themed birthday card from Orlando Bloom to a rock n' roll style card from Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. Some celebrities, such as Adam Sandler and Natalie Portman, chose to personalize their cards with drawings of their beloved pets. The cards come in packs of 8 for $20 and can be found either at Frederic Fekkai Melrose Place Salon and Frederic Fekkai Beverly Hills or online at www.grandmagillie.com/EB.In addition to greeting cards, gift cards are an extremely popular item, particularly during the holidays. Giftcardgenie.com has created a line of gift cards called Star Cards. These gift cards have been designed by celebrities such as Ben Affleck, Denise Richards, Jason Lee, Tim Allen, Stacy Keibler, Donald Faison, Bow Wow, athlete Jerry Rice, and Josh Holloway from the TV show, Lost and they allow the giver to choose their card from a list of about 45 merchants. After spending the money on the card, the recipient can keep the card as a collector's item from their favorite celebrity. The Star Card can also be personalized with the recipient's name in the gift card message, making the card even more special. The gift cards will be available between October 31-December 31 and, for every gift card sold, Giftcardgenie.com will make a $2 donation towards the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. This foundation helps impoverished children nationwide receive Christmas gifts, such as new toys and games, that they might not otherwise receive. These special gift cards are offered for $5 each and come in either $25, $50 or $100 denominations. For more information, or to order a Star Card, check out www.giftcardgenie.com.
