CELEB TRAINER LALO FUENTES: Holiday stay-skinny tips

The holidays are a problem. Sure, there's goodwill toward whatever, but let's talk about the seasonal six: The average six extra pounds of chuck acquired after multi-themed parties, goodie gift bags, plates filled with sugar cookies, handfuls of Santa shaped chocolates and all that crap. It's delicious crap! Don't misunderstand the message.

Every year my goal is to cram as much holiday cheer down my throat as possible. This must be achieved while still looking dead sexy. Living in Hollywood is such pressure, you guys. Thankfully where there are beautiful people, there are the celebrity trainers behind them!

Smoking hot Lalo Fuentes has trained me and we've talked at length about the importance of living life to the fullest, without denying yourself the things you crave - even if they're bad for you! This guy gets my kind of philosophy. If you're going to do the bad stuff, do it without regret.

Moderation is a great tool in the battle of the bulge.

"Don't make a meal out of that pumpkin pie," celebrity trainer Lalo Fuentes says. "A couple of spoonfuls will do the job. We all know that there are so many choices on the table. Eat a very small portion of each so that you can try everything without stuffing yourself. Enjoy!"

WHY WE GET FAT: "Holiday weight gain comes from consecutive bulging," Lalo notes. "Enjoy yourself "¦ your body can only absorb so much and will get rid of the rest. Next morning, go back to your regular healthy routine instead of eating the leftovers from the night before."

To aid with digestion, Lalo advises: "Drink plenty of water before, during and after dinner. During the holidays our diet changes and so does our bodies behavior. Make sure to eat plenty of food loaded with fiber during your meals to keep yourself regular and get rid of all the fat, carbs and toxins as soon as you can."

LALO'S QUICK FIX NO-GYM WORKOUT: Squats, lunges, pushups, jumping jacks, and running in place. He adds: "After doing 15-20 repetitions of each of these exercises, start over again for a total of 3 sets. That should take you only 15 to 20 minutes and will keep you active."
