When Angelina Jolie was a little girl, she was interested in mortuary science; her childhood dream was to become a funeral director. Yep, aren’t we glad she chose a different career path?! I mean, I can’t imagine Hollywood shy of an Angelina Jolie! The headlines -- Will they get married and when? Any more children on the horizon? That stunning face. Those eyes. Her soft, pillowy lips. All the features that people pay a pretty penny for, and more! However, Angelina’s beauty is more than skin-deep. This Oscar-winning actress, director, and mom of six deserves much recognition for her humanitarian efforts. 

 

Where Angelina finds the time and energy to be a committed global citizen, I don’t quite know. She has served as the United Nations' Goodwill Ambassador for over a decade and was recently promoted to Special Envoy of High Commissioner António Guterres. She has been on field missions around the world and has traveled to several refugee camps, lending a helping hand and speaking against injustices. She has also been involved in many charitable projects, including those to fund education for children and to end rural poverty. Furthermore, last week it was announced that Jolie will be joining forces with the British Government to end sexual violence in war zones. To be completely honest, Jolie has put the rest of us to shame!

 

Angelina Jolie is always tabloid-ready. I don’t know where the media would be without her. Would TMZ even exist? Probably not. Whether she’s visiting a refugee camp, adopting another child, making headlines for her ongoing fiasco with Aniston, or causing a hubbub over her recent engagement to Brad Pitt, there is always breaking news on Angelina Jolie!
