America Ferrera Hitting the Stage in 'Chicago'

It looks like America Ferrera will be trading in her “Ugly Betty” sweaters for some sexy sequins. 

Starting next month (November), Ferrera will be playing Roxie Hart in the London production of Chicago. (Kara DioGuardi is currently playing the same role on Broadway.) Fans will have 8 weeks to catch Ferrera on stage beginning on November 7.

However, that’s not the only stage time Ferrera has in the works. If you can’t make it across the pond to catch Ferrera’s performance, you may just want to book yourself a trip to the Big Apple!

Following her stint in Chicago, she will make her Broadway debut in The Miss Firecracker Contest this spring. Judith Ivey will direct the production about a woman from Mississippi who enters a beauty pageant. Rehearsals for The Miss Firecracker Contest will begin in March.

We are so excited to hear her sing! Break a leg, America!
