RISING STAR: Meet James Maslow |
|
Nickelodeon's new kid and fellow Twitter addict James Maslow and I use the ever-evolving social service to talk tweets, his new show Big Time Rush, and his favorite things to do off the set!
I'm "twitterviewing" James for a YH first! This is the very first time an interview has been conducted using Twitter, hence, “twitterview.” Should totally copyright that!

Andrew McMahon: Avoiding the Final Curtain Call |
|
When the spotlight turns off at the end of a concert, most musicians trust that they'll get another chance to step back in. For Andrew McMahon of the bands Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate, that reality became questionable in 2005 when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia. Andrew quickly began treatment, all the while documenting the ordeal with a video camera. The powerful footage along with touching interviews with friends and family has been gathered and is now available in the much-anticipated film Dear Jack.

Kate Earl: The Charmed Life |
|
I'm pleased to make my first guest blog appearance on YH and announce that Maroon 5 is kidnapping me. It all started when I was a little girl singing for customers in my parents gas station in Alaska. I grew up and moved to L.A. and before I knew it I was making a record. Along the way I became friends with M5. So there I was having lunch with my girlfriend when they called to say I was coming on their " Back-To-School" tour whether I liked it or not. You see I am a singer/songwriter piano/guitar player & artist on Universal Republic Records and it just so happens that my major label debut titled " Kate Earl" hits stores on Nov 3rd. That night I will open for the fellas at a college in Louisville, Kentucky followed by a show in Rochester, New York. I will be on a tour bus with rockstars. No way. Charmed life I tell you. Or hard work? Timing? Who knows.

Hello, I'm Taryn Manning! |
|
Hi everyone!
I’m really excited to add “Contributing YH Editor” to my expanding resume. :) This means you’ll have to keep coming back to visit my blog with each entry as I promise to have some interesting and fun things to share.
With that in mind and for those that know me from my acting resume, I am a bit of a multi-tasker as I’m also in a band with my brother Kellin called Boomkat. Our sophomore album, A Million Trillion Stars is out now! A track from the album “Burn” was on MTV’s The City last Thursday night, which I am extremely excited about. Also, our track “Run Boy” was recently featured on The CW’s Melrose Place as well as my first solo single, “So Talented” and ME! I was a bit of a hustler with my gun, but gotta love a strong woman! :) Watch out!!
