Zac Efron attacked in Los Angeles - report

Actor Zac Efron was beaten up in Los Angeles in the early hours of Monday morning (24Mar14), according to a report.

The High School Musical star and his bodyguard allegedly became embroiled in a fight with at least three other men after their car ran out of fuel in a rough area of Los Angeles, according to TMZ.com.

Editors of the website report police officers broke up the brawl, which is said to have been started after Efron threw a glass bottle out of his car window while waiting for a tow truck.

The actor was allegedly punched in the mouth during the fracas, but the website reports no arrests were made as the officers considered it a case of "mutual combat".

Efron has yet to comment on the alleged incident.
