Will Smith exits Brilliance film adaptation
Actor Will Smith is no longer set to star in the film adaptation of Marcus Sakey's bestselling book Brilliance due to scheduling issues.
The Men In Black star recently signed on to play a federal agent, one of a rare set of people born with extraordinary abilities, called "brilliants", who is tasked with hunting down a terrorist with similar talents to prevent him from starting a civil war.
However, he has since exited the project after delays in
production.
Filming is slated to begin this summer (14) and moviemakers are now
scrambling to find a replacement, according to Deadline.com.
Noomi Rapace is also in negotiations to join the film, which will
be directed by Don't Look Back filmmaker Julius Onah from a script
penned by Mission: Impossible screenwriter David Koepp.
