will.i.am to launch eyewear range

will.i.am has designed a range of glasses to be launched in September (14).

The former Black Eyed Peas rapper, who is a regular wearer of spectacles, has created a line named ill.i Optics alongside designer George Gorrow.

He says, "I see a gap in the world of eyewear and this is my installment of what I feel is missing. I want this to be an honest brand - it's about dedication and passion."

The collection, which features frames and sunglasses for both men and women inspired by 1980s hip-hop, will go on sale in September (14).
