Rapper Tyga has called in agents from the FBI to help track down the people responsible for leaking explicit images of the star online, amid concerns he has become the victim of a hack attack.
The Rack City hitmaker hit headlines on Tuesday (07Jul15) after a gossip blog published images of multiple text message conversations that reportedly took place between Tyga and transgender star Mia Isabella, suggesting he has been having a secret affair with the actress.
The texts included 'selfies' of the rapper, in addition to images of his erect penis. His identity in the X-rated snaps is given away by some of his tattoos, which can be clearly seen in the raunchy photos.
The hip-hop star's attorney, Lee Hutton, addressed the scandal on Tuesday (07Jul15), claiming his client has been set up as part of a conspiracy to "maliciously shame" him, branding rumors of an affair "false and socially irresponsible".
Now Hutton has referred the matter to federal agents because Tyga's team believe the pictures were illegally lifted from either the rapper's cell phone, or one belonging to a love interest he had intentionally sent the images to, reports TMZ.com.
A representative for Isabella has also distanced the actress from the controversy, insisting she had nothing to do with the leak.
It is not clear who the explicit photos were actually intended for, but Tyga has reportedly been dating Kim Kardashian's teenage half-sister Kylie Jenner since splitting from his fiancee, Blac Chyna, last year (14).
