Country stars The Band Perry were forced to axe a concert on Sunday night (03Jul16) after two men allegedly made violent threats to a venue employee in Delaware.
The If I Die Young singers were slated to perform at the Americana Bayside Welcome Center to a sold-out crowd, but hours before they were due to take the stage, two unidentified men made "alarming statements" to an employee, Delaware State Police Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said in a statement.
Together with venue security and local police, the sibling trio made the decision to postpone the concert, due to "heightened security concerns and for the safety of the public," Fournier said.
The band released their own statement to disappointed fans, saying, "While we are sad we don't get to see you tonight, we love you and consider your wellbeing and security our top priority."
State police released surveillance photos of two suspects, who are still at large.
The concert has been rescheduled for 17 August (16).
