Golden Globe-winning The Artist looks set to continue its winning streak after landing 10 nominations for the upcoming Cesar Awards in France.

The silent movie, made by French-born Michel Hazanavicius, is in the race for a slew of honors, including the prestigious Best Film nod.

Its stars Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo have been tipped in the acting categories, while Hazanavicius has been nominated for the Best Director prize.

However, The Artist faces tough competition - drama Poliss received 13 nominations when they were announced on Friday (27Jan12), while The Minister has 11.

Kate Winslet will be honored for her career achievements at the ceremony as the recipient of the prestigious Honorary Cesar.

The Cesar Awards, France's equivalent of the Oscars, will take place in Paris on 24 February (12).
